Wow! What a restaurant! And I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get to try Fazenda. The concept it really cool and similar to that of Bem Brazil. I took my plate to the salad bar(which does so much more than your standard salad) and filled up on meat accompaniments such as spicy Spanish potatoes, creamy mushrooms, asparagus and rice. The main event is very impressive — sword wielding waiters approach your table and slice off the amazingly succulent and freshly cooked pieces of meat on to your plate. And they don’t stop, until you change your beermat-style token over to show the red side — meaning ‘STOPGIVINGMEFOOD’ Every piece of meet i tried was excellent. So juicy and tender! I was a very happy girl entering the biggest meat coma ever by the time I left

The food is amazing here, we could have gotten by with just the salad bar. The meat was all cooked perfectly and they had a great variety, they even had vegetarian options which I haven’t seen in many other restaurants like this. Highly highly recommend it!

If I could live here, I would. We came here as a large group and from the moment we sat down we were really taken care of. We ordered a selection of wines and a few ‘mocktails’ for those who were not drinking and they were all equally delicious. The buffet side of the restaurant has a delicious selection of different salads, cured meats, cheeses, breads and other delicious treats. My only tip would be to not fill up to much on this section as while delicious, you will want to save space for all of the meat! The staff bring around different meats on skewers and you can pick and choose what you would like to try but in all honesty, it’s all delicious and worth a try. We asked for small portions of everything just so we would have enough space to try this feat. I loved the house special and the rib eye! I haven’t been so impressed with a meal in a long time.

Visited with a few friends for a birthday dinner. The staff were incredibly helpful and got us a great table, explained everything and never let our drinks get too low! The food is incredible — it’s the best ‘all you can eat meat’ restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Try not to fill up at the salad bar too(so many options!!) My favourites were the belly pork and garlic beef — I ate so much it felt like Christmas Day!

I had such a nice time at Fazenda. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and of course the company was spectacular. I’d never been to a Brazilian bbq place before but the concept is pretty simple: grab your own hot and cold food from the salad bar and then wait for meat to be brought to your table. The salad bar is interesting and varied and everything seemed fresh. Think sushi, smoked salmon, rice and pasta salads, bread, potatoes, cheese etc. I filled around half a plate and everything was good, but I knew I needed to leave room for all the meat. You also get some starters on the table including cheese bread which I’m sure would be incredible if it were warm but wasn’t really fantastic cold. Other reviews have given a pretty extensive list of all the meat but it was all really good. The only thing I didn’t really rate was the chicken with bacon, but honestly that’s such a boring option I’m not surprised. The sirloin and gammon were both amazing. I really liked the lamb chop. And the belly pork was also incredible. I’m sad that the belly pork came round once I was fit to bursting. I really enjoyed the showmanship of the waiters coming round with the meat with huge knives. The service was really excellent, everyone had a smile on their face and was happy to help. To drink I had: — a cocktail with pomegranate. I can’t remember it’s name but it was quite disappointing — a Caipirinha(free if you check in on Facebook!) which was delicious — a flight of wine, with three delicious reds. Excellent choices and pretty good value — two dessert cocktails, one which was strawberry cheesecake flavoured and an espresso martini, shared with Natalie. Both very good It’s not cheap here. All of the above came to £55 with a tip. This isn’t somewhere I could afford to go often but I definitely got my money’s worth. I’ll definitely be back here for a special occasion or a celebration!

A truly tremendous dining experience — we had such a great night I couldn’t fault it one bit. Though on first appearances the restaurant looks rather swanky and pretentious(it being in the midst of ‘Canary North’s’ Spinningfields), the staff were refreshingly down-to-earth and thoroughly welcoming. We were treated like demi-gods for our entire visit if I’m honest. Somehow, our group’s table was located in a beautiful semi-private glass-fronted dining space close to the buffet(massive bonus). Once we’d had the overview from our waitress as to how the system worked, we were free to peruse the all-you-can-eat offerings, keeping in mind we didn’t want to fill up on non-meat produce. This was to be a carnivorous evening after all. Cue what felt like three hours of various cuts of meat being brought to us by the ‘meat men’(for want of a better term). Check out Andrew Y’s review for the list of what we had, it’s ridiculously long. Accompanied with a flight of red wines, which were all lovely, the Chilean in particular, then what has to be one of the GREATEST desserts I’ve been fortunate to scoff, we all vowed to return. The location in general certainly has its detractors; those who dislike the relative glass/steel soullessness of Spinningfields — but this place has heart(as well as chicken hearts — suggest you try one) and knows how to make you feel right at home. Loved every minute.

WOW! Just WOW! (Before I continue, if you are reading this review and probably read just beginning bit, remember to check in on Facebook or Google+ to get a free cocktail. Its the Brazilian cocktail, cairpirinhas). I had been wanting to come to Fazenda ever since it opened but for some reason it had taken till this week to finally go. Most of us arrived before our booking so had a drink outside — although unfortunately the drinks for some took awhile to come and actually arrived just as we we got up to go inside(to go to our table). This was the 1st time inside Fazenda and I really like the interior of it. Very cool, stylish. We walked through most of the restaurant as we were in a private room towards the back. We didn’t book a private room. Made us feel more exclusive!(And the added benefit is that it was a bit quieter). I had been to a Brazilian BBQ a couple times before so knew what it was about. Salad bar with various pasta, rices, salads etc. Fazenda’s salad bar also included a small selection of sushi.(I only managed to go to the salad bar once — at the start — because I didn’t want to fill up on salad/rice etc and leave no room for meat!) We sat at our table and after a minute, we were given a complimentary«sharing starter» which was breaded prawns and dough balls — tasted good. However, we were there for the«main event» #meat. Since it was an evening, we would get the choice of 15 different meats. If you don’t know, waiters come round with basically chunks of meat which are carved off right in front of you. I am very much a meat-eater and big fan of steak so was really looking forward to basically a conveyor belt of meat coming to our table! You also get unlimited fries. While eating, someone comes round every now and then with some lovely fries. I was also kind of looking forward to trying the chicken heart. Never had before but interested to see what it tasted like. I think we missed out on a couple things which were in menu e.g. black pudding but had plenty. Some things twice. Some things 3 times. We had: Sirloin Gammon(with pineapple) Chicken thigh Sausage Fillet Lamb Chicken with bacon Garlic Rump Cap of rump Lamb chop Chicken heart Rib Eye Rump tail Skirt Pork Belly Overall it was all so good! I was a BIG fan of the gammon — as was everyone else on the table. Great flavour, so tender. The sirloin was great too — not usually my favourite cut but this was tender and I think had bit more marbling that normal. It was the 1st couple«dishes» so that may have a factor as towards the end, I was very full so things like the pork belly were not as good — was bit dry. The chicken heart was a little odd. It of course tasted like chicken but with a slight offal taste. Now I don’t mind offal e.g. liver, kidney but, as it says on the menu, its an acquired taste. Also, my favourite cut rib eye was maybe a touch dry but that could be because by then, I was so full! Happy, but full! For drink, as well as the cairpirinhas I mentioned right at the start — which was lovely, I also had a beer and also a flight of 3 different red wines. To be honest, I am not really a red wine fine but thought would give them a try and also they apparently«go with» red meat. For dessert, I just had a couple scoops of ice cream. In hindsight I should have just had a single scoop, if any at all. If you come here, come with a BIG appetite — maybe just a light lunch! And maybe wear some pregnancy pants ala Joey from Friends. Also, be prepared for the meat sweats and the meat coma when you get home. The service was brilliant and really friendly and they did whatever possible to make sure you had the perfect night. From the«meat servers», the guys taking drinks orders and our main waitress, Helena, who was excellent. What more could you want, endless supply of meat, drinks, lovely restaurant, excellent service!

The first time I popped into Fazenda a few months back I was struck by how pleasant and non-snooty the host was, despite this restaurant being really quite fancy. Having now encountered probably about a dozen other staff members I would say the same goes for all of them, they are probably the nicest service team working in Manchester today. The only slight blip in service came at the outset on the comfortable outdoor terrace where I was surprised the server didn’t know what I meant by the hibiscus cocktail(there’s only one, hibisco is in the name) or what the guest ale was. Perhaps people mainly order wine? Anyway the cocktail was great when it turned up, as were the cairpirinhas we got free because we checked in on facebook. The bar snacks actually look really good — a bit more interesting than average(e.g. a feijoada pastry), I’d like to go back soon and sample them. We were lucky to be assigned a private room at the back, it’s perfect for 6 — 8 people and like the rest of the restaurant is a beautiful, dark and elegant surrounding. We started off with the salad bar. It looks like a great selection, I confined myself mainly to stuffed vine leaves and peas with bacon(srsly why were those not in my life before) although also had a quick taste of the sushi(not bad, not sure it’s raw). Obviously the main event was the meat and I think we sampled everything Winners: sirloin(probably the best I’ve ever had), gammon(again probably the best ever, it was particularly tender) Honourable mention: garlic rump(some of this was dry but the bit that wasn’t was sensational), chicken hearts, skirt, fillet, pork belly Also ran(deliciiously): lamb, chicken wrapped in bacon, chicken thighs, sausage We had a little flight of wine with dinner — 3 glasses of 50ml. I thought this was a great idea, as it’s affordable £7.90 and gives you a chance to sample some wines you might not otherwise choose. Dessert wise, I am a fan of having a cocktail instead. Fazenda has specific dessert cocktails, and we(me and Emily, my sharing buddy) loved the espresso martini and strawberry cheesecake. Can’t wait to go back!

Well what can I say? This has to be one of the nicest food experiences I have had for sometime. Fazenda is a classy venue, very upmarket, but without that aloof and stuffy air. It’s a Brazilian themed restaurant, where you’re offered the most succulent and finest cuts of meat, accompanied by the most delicious salads I’ve ever tasted. If you don’t eat meat, then it’s probably not for you — as the meat never stops coming! You could fill up on the salads and sushi and no doubt be very full, but the set menu price after 5pm is £29 — so maybe a tad overpriced if meat doesn’t float your boat. The staff are very attentive, friendly, chatty and all seem to enjoy their job. I can highly recommend the Malbec, which is a divine match to the rich meats. If you’re thinking of heading to Fazenda, then make sure you go an empty stomach and don’t eat too fast!

I only had drinks here so I can’t comment on the food in this review. Fazenda is a stylish restaurant in the middle of Spinningfields which also has a really nice bar at the front. The bar is outside and is under cover with heaters so you can keep warm on cooler nights. There is an extensive drinks menu with some very interesting cocktails all priced at around £7.50 to £8.50.I can definitely recommend the pisco sour which was very good. A great place to try when the sun is out.

Reviewing this place solely on the drinks. Will go back for the food… Fazenda is a Brazilian rodizio on Spinningfields, in other words a place where you come to get the meat sweats. You pay a set price, you help yourself to the salad bar and then they bring round cuts of meat on big skewers and carve it on your plate. I’ve yet to try the food at Fazenda, but I’ve eaten at Brazilian restaurants before– and meat– what’s not to love? Unless you’re veggie of course then stay the hell away. Anyways I’ve come here on numerous occasions for drinks on their outdoor patio. It’s comfy, has sofas with big cushions and there are outdoor heaters so you won’t get cold in the Manchester weather. The interior is gorgeous– all sexy yellow and black marble. And the cocktails are fab. This time round I had the hibiscus cocktail with gin and egg whites and it was seriously good. Plus it was a twist on a margarita with a kind of salty rose petal garnish around the rim of the glass. Great if you’re on a date as the vibe is rather sultry and the outdoor area makes you feel like you could be sitting outside in continental Europe… almost.

This Brazilian restaurant is in the area of Spinningfields in Manchester. As you enter the restaurant you come to the reservation desk. They commence by taking to your table and take your coat off you and check them in the cloakroom. The restaurant is a little bit too dark inside but a positive ambiance none the less. As they come and take your drink order they explain the menu to you. Then basically you go up and help yourself to the buffet which is salad rice but when I say salad I don’t mean a traditional salad, which is little peppers stuffed with cream cheese smoked salmon and other luxury foods. Bad you sit with your selections they start coming round with all the meats… we went in the evening where they have 15 different kinds of meat available, and they’ll keep on coming until you cannot eat any more. I like my steak well done, so they do it well done for you, another nice touch is the ham and pineapple which is fresh hot pineapple. A great tip is if you have Facebook, by checking in you get a free traditional Brazilian cocktail which is the Capriana! The one down side is the prices of £29.99 each plus a 10% service charge which is optional, and in fairness they do ask if that is ok, a nice touch rather than being expected!

If you have never been to a Brazilian BBQ, what the hell are you waiting for? Fazneda has great décor, comfortable seating and a large enough venue so you are not sat on top of neighbouring tables. The buffet has a great selection of both cold and hot items along with pickles, peppers and sauces. Upon return to your table the fun begins as the meats start to turn up. We had already told the guys on arrival we prefer well done as opposed to medium/rate. 15 options of meats all coming roasted on spits with a few herbs, garlic or salt… The staff were all delightful friendly as well as customer focus. I totally like the fact when bringing they bill, they advise they added a 10% service charge(so not just slipped in there) and then proceeded to say it was optional… Now where else have you ever been when they have been so upfront about that? Way to go Fazenza… On the down side, I do believe it is quite highly priced and that did leave a slightly bitter taste afterwards. TIP — check in on Facebook and receive a free, yes u got it… Caipirinha Cocktail…

I recently visited Fazenda on a work’s meal out. We had the private room located at the back of the restaurant. The room looked great and aired a sense of decadence with it’s huge wooden table, hanging meats & giant bottles of wine. The staff were friendly & prompt often sparking up a little conversation whilst serving us, which was nice. They had a good selection of steak, pork and chicken and were reasonable fast serving our table given in mind the size of the restaurant. I can’t help but feel underwhelmed by the seasoning of the meats though, it only really hit the sweet spot on a few of the meats. I felt that Fazenda are playing it a bit on the safe side with some of there dish choices and could be a bit more adventurous. The self serve island of salads, sauces, pastas and various other light bites was really good. They had stuffed vine leaves as well which is a favorite of mine. Great selection of cocktails and drinks, I had to wait a while for mine but they waiter came across on a few occasions to explain that the bar was very busy and apologised for the delay. All in all, Fazenda has done a great job in bringing another Brazilian Meat’s banquet to Manchester. The restaurant really did look amazing(although it didn’t ooze Brazil) and the staff were more than accommodating to our needs. My only gripe is that for me the food was tasty but didn’t have the absolutely-delicious-mouthwatering-wow-factor that makes you tell all your friends about the place. I think Fazenda has competition in Manchester, but it’s definitely worth a visit!

Went here for Christmas party with my work. I highly recommend this! We had a private dining area which was great. The décor was beautiful. The food is amazing, but don’t get sucked in to the salad bar to fast. This is easier said than done with copious amounts of cured meat, bread and of course an array of salads to choose from. Within 5 minutes of sitting down waiters were already arriving with succulent slabs of all kinds of meat from juicy chicken thighs to beef sirloin. The staff are just as great as the food and have some great banter! Will definitely be back here in the near future

If you like meat, Fazenda is definitely the place for you. I’ve never been to one of these style of restaurants before so it was a new experience for me. I’ve been twice now and enjoyed it very much both times. It has delicious food combined with excellent service in a glossy and well designed restaurant . On arrival, you take your seat and the waiter/waitress will explain how it works and take your drink order. You then wander over to the well-stocked salad bar and fill your plate with salad, dips, rice, potatoes, bread and other goodies to accompany the meat. And what a choice of meat it is! A disc on your table allows you to control when you want meat from the waiters who wander around the tables offering a selection of beef cuts, pork, chicken, sausages and black pudding. Delicious! It is a bit pricey — £29.50 each on a Friday or Saturday night. The drink prices are ok and there’s a large selection of wine and beer as well as cocktails. It’s an ideal place for a group of friends especially as the bill is easy to work out!

I absolutely love this place! To anyone who loves meat, this is a must! I have been to the one in Leeds, but the ones in Manchester is so much better in terms of how well the meat is cooked. My personal favourite is the house special, they do have chicken hearts which is part of the Brazilian delicacy. Can’t go to Fazenda and not have red wine with all those rare meat(They are generally cooked rare to medium rare)! The customer service is brilliant! Friendly service with suggestions and recommendations from the staffs. They were very quick and attentive when they see that you need assistant. Sometimes they were there before you even realise you need another glass of water(two thumbs up for psychic telepathy)! Receptionists were very friendly and they took our coat and hid it somewhere safe in the wardrobe behind them. All in all I had a great experience with great food! TIP: It is cheaper on Thursdays!

WARNINGMEATSWEATSWILLFOLLOW: Went here as part of a the soft launch of the restaurant. Service Wow for a restaurant so new this was well on point, in my experience it usually takes staff a few weeks to bed in. Very slick operation and congratulations to the management. Food Think Bem Brazil but a million times better, meat quality, salad bar everything of a higher quality. Deserts could be better, however you really are too full to eat them Venue Really well layout out, perfect for a date as very sociable dinning experience. They have spent a far few pounds on this venue. TIPS: Dont over do it on the salad bar if you are hungry. The meat will fill you up in no time

The newest opening in the Spinningfields vicinity, the best way to describe Fazenda is «like Bem Brasil, but with a little bit of gloss.» Advertising a few free lunch and dinner services to get people through the door, we headed onto the Avenue to make the most of this frankly ridiculous offer. When we were arrived, we were actually unsure whether it was open as there was some building work being done on the front door — it took a while to get the workmen to move, but we eventually entered. Our names were ‘on the list’ so we were seated fairly quickly, and offered drinks at the bar while we were waiting. Unfortunately, alongside the workmen at the front door, the floor was being cleaned around us, making us feel a little bit in the way. Once seated, the process was explained to us — head up to the salad/non-meat bar, fill your plate, then sit and wait for the meat to be brought around by waiters. You have a little card on your place which you can switch between red and green to signify whether you’re ready to eat or want a rest. There was a delicious little basket of warm cheesy dough balls on the table to get us started, but really we couldn’t wait to grab a plate and get started. The buffet bar options were actually vast — salad and cold vegetable, some delicious small spicy peppers, spicy potatoes, fluffy rice, roast vegetables, beans with pork, greens in creamy cheese sauce, and an array of pasta salads. The majority of the table actually returned to their seat with enough to fill them up, and we hadn’t started on the meat yet! We tried the array of lunch options(I think you get four more in the evening service), including garlic steak, rump steak, spicy chorizo sausage, the best chicken thigh I have ever eaten, and chicken wrapped in bacon. You have to grab your tongs and get stuck in so the meat doesn’t go flying off the table, but you quickly pick up the skill. Service was good, if a bit stilted. The wrong drinks were brought to the table, it took a while for the order to actually be taken, and once we had explained we had to get back to work it took a little while for the card machine to arrive. We were asked on plenty of occasions if there was anything extra they could do, which was really appreciated. Once they iron out the creases and find their workflow, I’d be happy to go back
