The staff were chatty and bright. The guy who did my hair took his time with every detail of my hair. Even though it was only a re-​cut of my old hair, it still ended up costing almost 25 quid, which is pretty high.
The end result was good, so I’m very happy with it, but I think it’s slightly on the expensive side.
I’d probably go again.

I have just moved to the New Islington area and have looked around for a new place to get the mullet cut. This is my first time here. I must say, I’m very impressed. The stylist did a good job at styling my hair as I envisaged. The place offers a loyalty card too. 8^th haircut free! You can’t complain with free!

I was looking for a really trendy haircut for my trip to California and stumbled across a voucher for £5 off, from
for Close Male Grooming, they have a few locations around the city, Theres one on Bridge Street, Whitworth Street and the one i went to in the Northern Quarter on Great Ancoats Street which is next door to the Travelodge. I made a booking for 10am on a monday morning. I do suggest you make an appointment if you decide to go here as its only a tiny shop with 3 Barber Chairs so you might be waiting a while at peak times.
I was greeted as soon as i walked in and was seated straight away and asked if i would like anything to drink, The stylist who was cutting my hair asked a few questions on how i would like my hair to be cut, i had a few options what i could choose from and we both decided on the style i wanted it, My stylist was really friendly throughout and we was chatting away all the time whilst she was chopping away, She had been working there 2 years and she was really good in what she did, i think they have a few stylists but there was only 2 stylists whilst i was there. I went for the Chop & finish (Shampoo, cut & finish) all for £23.50 less the £5 voucher. There are also many other options available, You also get a loyalty card where you buy 7 haircuts or treatments and you get youre 8^th free! Ive been to a few Barbers in town, but this one is great and knows what a customer wants and they don’t rush neither i was in the chair for just over 30 minutes and with a great finish, My stylist also explained step by step on how to style my hair for my trip to LA!!! Cheers guys! Hollywood here i come!!!

Brilliant Men’s Hairdresser. PS3 and Xbox while you wait, along with tea, coffee beer or wine. Very stylish design inside and excellent cut. Also specialises in cut throat shaves.
The guy who owns it is very friendly and easy to chat to.
Medium price at just under £20 quid for a dry cut but very reasonable for the quality and service.
The loyalty card is a nice touch, you get a card given to you after your cut which gets stamped every time you go for a haircut, after you have seven stamps your eighth hair cut is free!
