This is a perfectly functional Boots — much like you’d expect a train station Boots to be. I needed help finding what I was looking for but a staff member was already in the aisle so she quickly pointed it out to me — too easy. I was in a big hurry and the queuing area at the checkout was a little crowded, but thankfully they were pretty quick and I was on my way soon enough. My only real criticism was that the sandwich/food area seemed to have been decimated, but I guess at 3pm you can only expect slim pickings.

Boots in Piccadilly is great! It’s really convenient when you have the winter blues and need a little pick me up as they have a pharmacy and helpful staff towards the back. It stocks the general beauty products as well a fresh food section, your standard small Boots store. There isn’t a lot more to say apart from kudos to the friendly staff who are always smiling! Top tip — No one buys the sandwiches so you can often find a bargain around lunchtime… Maybe it’s the fact they hide all the fresh food behind impenetrable force field flaps…

One of the perils of commuting is being surrounded with people with colds. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve sat on the train listening to other people coughing, sniffing and blowing their noses for two hours. The reason I’ve managed to avoid getting the dreaded flu myself is wrapping up warm and carrying First Defense and Cuticura Hand Gel with me. The former keeps me warm and toasty and the latter two kill off bad germs and bacteria. Luckily, this Boots stocks both so whenever I’m travelling and running low on either, I just pop in and grab some on my way to the platform. Handily, they also stock smoothies and breakfast bars too!
