How lovely it is when it lit up in fairy and Christmas lights It really did, nt seem like a garden place at all They have a lot of things going on here and I really don’t know where to start . So as I walk round taking in all the trimmings for your special tree, plus some of The tree, s which have been nicely decorated(I never could get mine to look that way) I was so amazed really why its so quite, They only place that had anyone was the restaurant/café/coffee shop ‚ Not really sure what its aim is ‚ I decide I might as well have some lunch I order soup of the day and what was a crusty cob ‚ I did like the look of any of the main dishes just as well it took a while just to get the soup ‚ Onwards a while later I finish looking around I like the fish section cold water fish gold fish for out side ponds always interesting, There, s not a lot off garden plants at this time of year its more about getting it ready for the spring or for outside Christmas lighting you can get any number of ornamental figures, that light up your garden for those dark nights lol,

I recently went to this garden centre, and with 4.5 stars average reviews over 3, I was expecting big things, however I have been let down before with places with good reviews, such as Richmond Tea Rooms and this place followed in their footsteps. The Garden centre looked quite busy from the car park, but when I enterered it was as quiet as a funeral, they must of been more staff than people, I feel this garden centre was quite depressing, all silent, with no people really looking around at all. Most of the products here was just the Christmas Clearance, but the Garden Centre really need to start putting out their new products, it is exactly 3 weeks after Christmas Day now — they need to stop somtime. Most of what they are selling is just expensive junk and even the things that you would consider buying, are really expensive too. When I passed the café, that was quite busy and it seems to be the only part of the garden centre that gets business, it was packed and I was one of the only people looking round the store, so yes, I feel without the café, the garden centre would close faster than saying«Goodbye, Café», they might as well close down the garden centre just to make one giant café. As I said, apart from the café, this is a very quiet, despressing garden centre, which in my opinion keeps trying to sell junk, which has not sold for months in the Christmas period. One thing that does annoy me is that they have signs all over saying«50 percent off the price», sometimes 25 etc and most of these do not say the new price, meaning if you do not carry a calculator or do not possess a good knowledge of maths, then you certainly won’t have a clue what you are paying. With all the junk going around, and with all the sale signs literally everywhere and with it being just so quiet, it felt like the last day of a clearance store before it was demolished if anything, so my first Garden Centre review on Unilocal, has to be a very negative one star one, I can’t even think of a reason to justify one star.

A garden centre? what in all that is unholy was I doing in a garden centre??? Normally if someone was to say«Lee lets pop to the garden centre», then my answer would be «Can I stay at home and whip myself accross the face with a rusty bike chain instead?». But on this occasion that wasn’t an option, it was Mrs Zombis birthday and she wanted to buy some plants. So off we went(I packed a chain just in case). Now as far as i’m concerned the worst thing we have ever done as a couple is buy a house with a garden. I just can never rouse myself to do anything in it, if money were no object then it would either be paved over or a gardener would be hired. So the walking along rows of flowers and plants made me long for rusty metal flagellation(good name for a metal band). This is not to do the garden centre down at all, it is how i feel about all of them. On this occasion though my mind was blown apart, when we got inside the centre they had a Deli!!! Yep, a Deli!!! Cheeses of the world, beautiful cooked meats, salamis and other sausages, beautiful artisan breads and stuffed olives of many a filling. That is only a small selection, they also stocked some really nice kitchen gadgets, smelly candles and stuff that i have never seen or heard of before… I bought some Pastrami(the king of American Deli meats). And i have to honestly say that it was some of the nicest i have ever had. Really peppery and beefy. I haven’t enjoyed pastrami so much since i had a stupidly big sandwich in Sausalito, but i can’t just pop there whenever i fancy a peppery beef sarnie. But I can pop a mile and a half down the road to the All in one garden centre for one, and that’ll do for me ta very much…

Really well run large garden centre. Family run with it’s own style. Lots of really good plants and hgarden accesories and tools. Plenty of good advice. Large restaurant/coffee shop. Well known for their huge Xmas displays
