After several attempts to find a store that would develop slide film, I *finally* got what I needed at Advanced Photo. This photo shop is fairly small, with a collection of print-related items(frames, photo printing packages, etc.). It seems to be a one-man operation with the owner working behind the counter, which is good because he’s friendly and knowledgeable. I was hoping they could offer the various development processes in-house, but they had to send out my slide film to get developed. That meant that it was going to take about a week for it to be finished. The owner notified me he’d call me as soon as it arrived, and that’s the only bad experience with Advanced Photo — I never got the call back. I showed up after waiting 2 weeks and the film was ready to be picked up, but it irks me when I’m promised a call and it doesn’t happen. Because they send out film for development, it means that you can also get things cross-processed. Unfortunately they don’t have scanning gear that will allow for the scanning of sprockets, so I’m still stuck with having to take a macro-photo of that on my own. Still, my overall experience with Advanced Photo was pleasant, and I’ll likely return for my film needs from now on.
