Situated at the seaward end of Church Road, this is a very busy but welcoming pub. It has a good range of beers and lager with at least three cask ales available most times. Food is served lunchtimes and evenings and the menu offers a varied choice. It is well cooked and always piping hot. Fish dishes are very popular as the landlord catches much of the fish locally himself, so it can’t be any fresher. If you order fish and chips make sure you’re hungry as the portions are huge. Although a little off the beaten track this lively pub is well worth a visit, and if you do, don’t forget to say hello to Charlie the African Grey Parrot.
