as good as it gets for a student making minimum wage income on a part-time job, Zizzi’s gives 50% off to students presenting ID. Large portions of thin crust pizza and pretty good pasta. I’ve tried the chicken+red sauce pasta with linguine or spaghetti. Also, I recommend dining in.

This place was OK. Given the competition in the area you can probably do better though.

I like the style and the options at this restaurant, but the food was not out of the ordinary. Still, a solid choice for lunch or dinner.

Been going to Zizzi’s for several years now since 2005. It’s a great Italian restaurant that has a wine bar feel to it. It is located in the redeveloped Shad Thames /Butler’s Wharf area of Southwark near Tower Bridge, and is surrounded by a lot of wine bars and Thames river walks so it is a nice destination for the evening. My favorite would have to be the pizza or calzone. Wood-fired crust filled with goat cheese and italian hams and veggies… mmm. Lovely salads as well. Service can be a little slow, but hey-ho, have a glass of wine and take your time on a Friday night in this consistently well performing Italian eatery close to Tower Bridge and lovely wine bars and walks.

Our first night in London found us walking along Shad Thames in search of a good restaurant. All the pubs were jam-packed so any hope of a «traditional» meal was out of the question Playing it safe w/Italian seemed like a good idea & Zizzi didn’t disappoint. Indulged on the Pizza Sofia for Dad(spicy & meaty); Ravioli Di Capra for Mom(Spinach Ravioli); and Pizza Quattro Formagi for me(cheesy & gooey). All were good but nothing spectacular What really made this place earn its 4 Stars was dessert. YOUGOTTAGETTHEMELACROCCANTE! Hot apple & amaretto crumble that was so decadent, w/a thick crust — just how I like it — and the most flavorfully cooked apples. It was the highlight of the evening. Paired w/Amaretto & we’re talking absolute heaven. Staff was super-nice, friendly & attentive w/out being overly so. Made us feel like we had been invited into their home w/the cozy atmosphere & hospitality Had no idea Zizzi was a chain — otherwise would have avoided but it did the deal for us & we were happy we went
