Popped in here for a quick lunch on a work day and was really impressed. There’s loads of pasta dishes to choose from, you can pick the type of pasta with sauce you’d prefer, or pick one of the specials. I had a lovely spinach and ricotta ravioli in a sage and butter sauce. Lovely! I was completely stuffed so couldn’t have dessert, but they all looked really nice — especially the brownie! You can takeaway things too. Something I’ll definitely keep in mind! I think what topped it off was Aldo Zilli himself cleared away our plates! Nice touch.

I adore fresh pasta — it melts in your mouth like no other. That’s why I love Zilli’s. It’s a lovely little café for your basic Italian food, the perfect place for my lunch break. The prices are pretty decent, but it’s cramped on a nice sunny day — better to head over to Golden Square to eat.

The café in Aldo Zilli’s Soho empire: good fresh pasta dishes(even lobster ravioli) to eat in or take away, plus a range of sandwiches/paninis and salads, plus ice cream. One of it’s more upmarket sister restaurants, Zilli FIsh, is next door.

Zilli café is a great place to go in the evening, if you want a coffee after you’ve been somewhere for dinner. In the summer they do great italian ice creams in a variety of flavours including bacci, pistashio and chocolat(they might do them in winter too but the last couple of times I’ve been there hasn’t been any available). However, go in the day time for lunch and it’s very chaotic, the food isn’t that great(they do things like pasta and panini’s) and it doesn’t look very clean. The salads and panini’s sit in the fridge all day and I think given the reuptation that the restaurant has, this is disappointing.

This place is ok, nothing special though. And all the food looks a bit greasy but they do quite a nice coffee and sweet chocolate biscuit things! Good location right on Brewer Street, but this isn’t a place I would choose to go unless I have to, which I did for a meeting. Come on Zilli, you can do better than this?

An excellent place to grab a decent Italian coffee or a lunch. The pasta dishes, for example, are cooked to order — perfection. There is usually an excellent range of around 8 seasonal Italian dishes. These are dishes that do not usually feature on standard Italian restaurant menus and are always a revelation. This being Aldo Zilli’s café, the quality of ingredients and flavours is superb. A decent portion of freshly cooked pasta with a sauce of your choice is reasonably priced at between £5 to £7. Italian soda, coffees and cakes are also available. A treat.

Whether for a sit-in lunch or a take-away, Aldo Zilli’s café makes a great addition to his bar( )(over on Dean Street) and his fish restaurant( )(just next door). There are many pasta dishes, cutlets of meat, and sandwiches pre-made: a quick heat-up and you’re eating(or carrying it out). Yesterday I had chickpeas with sausage and chorizo in tomato sauce, and it was delicious. Aldo Zilli’s restaurants don’t do bottled water anymore, just tap water.
