Zack’s

We were looking for a quick breakfast by Gloucester Road station and decided to try this place out. I do like a good deli. It’s very modern and clean, especially compared to the fish & chip shop next door. It was reasonably busy on a Sunday morning, but a few tables were available and we got a table for 2 immediately. There seemed to be some people studying at some of the tables in the back. We were given menus but you order and pay up at the counter, and water is self-​serve as well.
As for the food, we got a vegetarian breakfast with grilled halloumi and an eggs royale. I didn’t think the eggs royale was anything special, and definitely could not hold a candle to the one we had a Fait Maison Salon du The across the street a few weeks ago. The eggs were not properly poached, and were clearly cooked in a mold of some sort and only left a little bit runny. It was also drowned in sauce, which was entirely too much. The vegetarian breakfast was quite nice and included mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, eggs (either poached or scrambled), spinach and some toast.
I also got an apple, ginger, and carrot juice that was made to order, and our vegetarian platter included some freshly squeezed orange juice as well. I thought these would have been better served with ice, as room temperature juices seem odd to me. The Americanos we got were pretty decent. But overall, the restaurant was quick and cheerful, though the food is not exactly stellar.

Small portions, OKish food, high prices, poor service (slow, forgotten orders). Just look elsewhere.

Been here with my friend who took me to her beloved regular café Zack’s :) the atmosphere was laid-​back, so relaxing. And foods & coffee, i had Ginger bread loaf cake (not exact) with cappuccino which surprised me! Cappuccino looked a lot at first glance so i expected milky more like café latte but it was seriously great. The cake was like big chunk of dark brown sugar with a drizzle of ginger — thats definitely a compliment.
You should stop by here if you look for a fantastic local that will get you the freshness you are longing for.

Really lovely place! I can only speak to the breakfast foods & drinks, which are all wonderful, but I’ve heard good things about the lunch/​dinner options from friends as well. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is really nice & comfortable, and it’s my go-​to place to get some work done. Definitely the best place to stop along Gloucester Road.

Mein Lieblingsimbiss in London. Ich fahre von überall extra hin, weil ich mich dort so wohl fühle und es mir so sehr schmeckt; vor allem das Frühstück, aber auch die Salate … bis zu den Torten bin ich leider nie gekommen. Ich nehm’s mir immer vor. Na, vielleicht das nächste Mal!

I had a wonderful fatoush salad with a vegetarian casserole (really a stew) along with an Apple/​Carrot/​Ginger freshly made juice. It was delicious! Also, a wonderful and friendly staff — I can’t wait to go back. Very healthy and clean. Eat here everyday and add 10 years to your life =)

Having been here 4 times now (literally whenever I’m in Gloucester Road) I decided it deserves 5 stars. They do amazing cakes, frozen yogurt, coffee and tea, smoothies and every type of amazing nice meal you can think of and lots of lovely fresh salads. Can’t rave about this place enough!

Zack’s is a quite and pleasant café just down the road from Gloucester Road station. The interior is trendy and suitable to completing work.
I have visited a couple of times and have tried the a flatbread sandwich (Tomato, Cheese, and Ham), the Greek Salad, and a breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatos, toast was the special of the day). There are made-​to-​order entrees and pre-​made entrees, so you can grab a quick bite or sit in for a causal lunch. I have no complaints about he freshness of the ingredients.
Zack’s also has a friendly staff which is always helpful and accomdating to patrons.
