Looked promising and the rolls were nice but the sashimi tasted kind of old. I ended up not finishing it as it was sort of room temperature and the tuna had this weird sort of film. Expensive for what it is. Probably better off going itsu etc for cheap lunch that is definitely fresh.

Just had a takeaway from Youmesushi and it was awful. It took over an hour to get here, and when it finally arrived the ‘hot’ food was cold and dry. It had obviously been sat there for a while. And the food wasn’t even that nice and the portions were small. I’m really disappointed, I certainly won’t be ordering from them again.

I used to go here quite often but todays visit was certainly my last!!! I used to frequently take advantage of the 20% discount before 6pm. This time though I was told that the huge sign in the window, advertising this discount, does not apply to the items I chose(btw. same item I always choose). I was told I could get a free miso soup instead. After pointing out that the sign in their window quite clearly stated a 20% discount and therefore consider this practice false advertising, it was pointed out to me that the sign didn’t say«discount on everything» and therefore wouldn’t apply to my choice of meal. I then pointed out that it didn’t say anything about«selected items only» either and that I had this box before getting the advertised discount. Well, out of principle I do not support such practises, which I explained to the girl behind the counter in a very calm manner and returned my items into the fridge. The girl was quite apologetic and so I didn’t think much of it as I was about to leave. After all, it wasn’t her fault but just as I turned around to leave I heard some other member of stuff shouting ‘uuuhuu’ in quite a mocking(diva) manor. This rather rude gesture was also picked up by another customers who looked at me in disbelief about their attitude towards me. Is this really the way to treat a customer or dealing with a complaint?! I will certainly take my business elsewhere — especially with at least 4!!! other Sushi places very close by!

YouMe sushi is really bad for bowls of noodles and anything else that’s not sushi, the floors were sticky and my vegetables in my noodle beef bowl was actually cold in the centre and I left feeling hungry at the end. I did try my friends sushi roll which was quite good so I would come back just for that cause in the centre of London it’s not bad price for sushi haha.

This used to be my favourite place for lunch near my office. It had friendly and quick service, the food was reasonably priced and tasty. Sadly my last couple of visits have shown me that the above is no longer true. It is not as reasonable as it was(even with the 20% discount) and the quality of the food has also changed for the worst. It is a great shame to see a good place go downhill so quickly…

I needed a sushi fix, so I stopped by to get a spicy salmon roll. It was after 6pm so I didn’t get the 20% discount, but I found the prices steep anyhow. Maybe the reviews saying the prices are cheap are a bit dated. There were several salmon boxes similar to itsu and wasabi, and it was £12-£14 :/. It was also £6 for sashimi, and I think the other chains are a quid or 2 cheaper. Anyhow, my spicey salmon roll(£6) wasn’t the freshest, and I noticed that it was made up of leftover scraps of fish. Most of the sushi was filled with minced scraps of fish skin/fat and the brown layer above the actual salmon. I was essentially eating the leftovers and not actual pieces of pink salmon. Gross.

Oops Becky’s review has prodded me to update mine. When we first ordered You Me Sushi for an office lunch, it was excellent(and had huge quantities of sushi for a reasonable price…) However, since the chain has expanded, over the last few years, the portions seemed to have gotten smaller, while the prices went up. We gave up on them and now we order from Wasabi instead. It’s a shame as the You Me Sushi back in 2011 was brilliant. Ah well.(;_;)

Okay, not amazing sushi but exceptionally good value when compared with the likes of Itsu. And the free miso soup at lunch time is a treat.

This restaurant is a convenient 5 minute walk from London Business School. I recommend the chicken katsu rice with curry. I also recommend the friend prawn set. The price is quite decent for the amount of food provided. Also watch out for the daily lunch special as the You Me Sushi bento is supposedly great value, but I did not get a chance to try yet. There is lots of sit down space here, so a group of less than 8 would be convenient to come here for a quick lunch. Any Japanese essentials such as edamame and miso soup can be found here as well!

It’s OK. As someone else mentioned, not the freshest, which is basically what sushi is all about. But it wasn’t awful

Quick, noisy. Delivery drivers go through the sitting area, but they are cheap. And the sushi is acceptable.

Yes, it’s cheap(particularly when you order a sushi box & it’s lunchtime, so it’s 20% off) but can’t say it’s the freshest sushi I’ve tasted. The fish just tasted a bit nothing, like it’s been refrigerated for too long. Considering the other Unilocal reviews, maybe it was a bad day for them, or maybe I had a slightly old box, as I did go towards the end of lunchtime and there weren’t many boxes left.

It is one of the best for its tier in the baker street area if you are looking for decent sushi take away or delivery within 3miles.

The great thing about this place is that the sushi is yummy. However, I didn’t like their teriyaki chicken at all. The meat was dry and the rice bowl was just drenched in runny teriyaki sauce. I’m not saying this place isn’t good, I’m just saying not to order the chicken teriyaki. Order their sushi rolls instead.

Good sushi delivery place if you live around NW. I’ve tried various things on the menu(salmon/tuna/unagi sushi) and various noodles and it’s pretty decent, if you don’t want to leave your house and get japanese delivered to you. I’m sure you can find more variety and higher quality places if you go to a fancy restaurant, but I’m sure it’ll be much more expensive as well! Can order online(easy ordering system on website) or by phone, and you can pay credit card over the phone or cash on delivery. Can’t change your mind and pay by credit card later though! Delivery person won’t have the little card machine. Delivery usually takes around 45 minutes, max 1 hour. Last delivery is 10pm! Also, once you’ve ordered from them, they send you little texts once in a while with offers like«free California roll, with £20 purchase» Much preferred to another sushi place near me Melovesushi, tried it once to compare to Youmesushi, and the quantities are much more meager for the same price! Now we only order from Youmesushi :)

A solid sushi delivery(free), the best I’ve found in the area(Fitzrovia). Prices are reasonable. Get £5 of £20 when you order online(code YM9). Very friendly folks. Rolls are especially good.

Along with 800 other take away menus, I received a You Me sushi menu under the door the other day and figured I would give it a try… have been looking for a good, cheap sushi place nearby for a while and they seemed to have some good offers. They have an online ordering system, which would have been great if the site worked — my order wouldn’t go through, so I had to call and place my order — miso soup, salmon & tuna sashimi, and shredded duck rolls. I also got free salmon/avocado rolls which is a monday special with a 20 pound order. Ours came to 23 pounds and was plenty of food for 2 ppl. Everything was ready when I picked it up(they also deliver), and turned out to be pretty good for somewhat of a «fast food» sushi place. The salmon sashimi and rolls were great and there was a nice salad included under the sashimi with delicious dressing. I probably wouldn’t order the tuna sashimi again, as it didn’t seem as fresh as the salmon, but maybe it was just an off day. Overall, I gave them an average rating b/c it wasn’t the best sushi I’ve had but it’s convenient and decent enough that I would go back. They also offer a «loyalty» program with stamps each time you go — after the 9th order you get up to a 30 pound order for free. A few lunches and a couple more dinners and we can have a free feast! Not bad.

I’m feeling pretty ill today so I planned to spend the day at home watching videos and feeling sorry for myself. I didn’t have much food in the house so I decided to get something delivered. I had passed the You Me Sushi the other day, which delivers free within 3 miles, and decided to give it a try. I ordered from the website and went for the Chicken Yaki Udon and some sushi. It all came in about half an hour and was transported appropriately so the hot food came hot and the cold food came cold. I decided to start with the Udon. It was warm and there was a good amount of chicken but it was a little watery and not very tasty. Then I moved on the sushi(which, annoyingly, didn’t come with Wasabi). I had gotten Sesame Seared Beef out of curiosity. It was tasty enough but quite thickly sliced, so definitely one for carnivores. I also got some Salmon Roe Gunkan which was good if a little heavily loaded for my taste. The more sushi delivery places the better, but with You Me Sushi I would definitely stick with the sushi.
