Little hidden gem in the island. Delicious Korean barbecue and very nice sushi sets. It’s definitely gonna be added to my list of favourites. The bbq sets are relatively cheap. Bbq meats are excellent quality. Portion are generous too. There is no parking near the restaurant, so you need to find parking on Westferry Road.

Nothing to rave about but if you’re craving comfort food, this place doesn’t disappoint. We had okonomiyaki, pa jeon, BBQ meat and sushi — out of everything we had, I would recommend the BBQ meat, and amongst many other customers that was there, they were either having hotpot ramen or BBQ meat. Maybe we didn’t order the right dishes but I might head back to give the hotpot ramen a chance

Restaurants around this area usually find it really difficult to survive, it’s not the most convenient to get to and there’s not much else around apart from residential. The previous restaurant at this location took on serving some truly awful Vietnamese food, which is no surprise they are no longer there. However, Yokoso’s food exceeds the standards you’d normally expect from the Docklands. During our sit down meal, we noticed a constant stream of delivery services such as deliveroo, hungryhouse etc. passing through. Considering the location take away and deliveries would be their main sales. There aren’t many places in this area that offers delivery of fresh Japanese sushi/sashimi at a relatively reasonable price and the ever so trendy Korean dishes! Not only so, but it’s quite an extensive menu such as Korean BBQ, offering quite a bit of choice! Though some things may not be authentic(deep fried Tako Taki for example!), overall Yokoso is certainly serving up tasty meals to the Dockland residents! If I’m up for a take away, this will be it!

I have been here a number of times. They do Korean and Japanese dishes. Some may wonder, that counts me also, can they really pull it off, you can do one or the other, but to do both. hmmmm. I will attempt to describe it below. The restaurant is quite hidden, I had known about it through word of mouth, considering I pass by quite frequently. It has two levels, not really a spectacular view, its a shame though, right next along the Thames, and the views you will see are the flats opposite and a bit of green. The décor is simple, downstairs has a bit more comfort space, where upstairs feels a bit crammed. I like it when its quiet, then you feel its all eyes on you, and you are eating in this hidden gem, however when its busy, it feels — will I get notice, have I been forgotten, because the waiter will have to dodge, and shimmy, come from around the corner to see if you need service. I guess its just the restaurant is shaped, like a semi circle. The food, I have tried Korean and I have tried Japanese on separate occasions, I have even tried both, just because I can. It is not all that bad, Korean I have tried Korean BBQ once, and I have tried my fav — Bimbimbap — I have also tried sushi, and udon dishes. The flavours are certainly there, and are served how it should be, but there is nagging feeling that something is missing, the Bimbimbap wasnt exactly the right spice, or the bbq marinated beef was just a tad sweet. Sushi was good, but didnt shout out wow. — MAYBE its just me. However I would come again, to get my fix of either, as its good value for money, and the food is not that bad, but if you ask me, what is a very good Japanese restaurant or Korean restaurant I wouldn’t say here exactly, but a restaurant that interesting does both.

Best takeaway Sushi ever! Finally found some decent Asian food in my area … took me only ten years. All thanks to Deliveroo.

The service is inattentive. We had to stand and call the waiter several times to order, ask for water, to pay… the waiter is typing something in the computer, and seems too busy to attend to us. The beef in the bulgogi rice topping was too little. All in all, the experience was reminiscent of an ex-Communist era restaurant. We will not return.

The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but definitely worthy of the trek in my opinion. Great selection of Korean and Japanese dishes on the menu– I had ordered bi bim bap, which came with miso soup, and okonomiyaki as a side. Having been to Japan and Korea the quality of food was very good, and the prices very reasonable Will definitely go back again for the sushi buffet this time

Wow, this was a tough one for me! There is a big part of me that wants to go four stars, but as with everything I think this one is down to expectations. Above said, I wager I will be back here several times as long at they maintain the tasting menu… it’s an INSANE value at twelve items for under £17 with as much sushi as you can eat in an hour and a half; even if everything on it doesn’t come across five star you just can’t fault it at the price… it literally borders on the ridiculous and twice three of us have failed to finish the initial offering much less order more sushi. Before they introduced the tasting menu I’ve actually eaten here a few times as well as had their delivery… I have to say that it’s never bad, but mostly didn’t blow me away.(So far the Buta Kimchi has been my favourite with an honourable mention to the Jap Chae.) The Bulgogi, a staple of mine when available, is where I felt a bit let down to be honest. The Galbi fared a bit better however. For me this place isn’t that far away so coupled with the tasting menu(I’m a sucker for choice) I can see myself back here often when in town looking for variety and value… I would be back regardless, but perhaps not as frequently versus my usual, but less convenient, Korean haunt on Poland Street. No complaints for the place itself or staff… it’s rather large, clean, and the staff always seem friendly. As others have mentioned this place is definitely a bit hidden, but worth seeking out if you happen to be in the area and it sounds interesting to you… I especially appreciate their later dining hours happily allowing you to order and actually dine in at 10pm.

We visited recently and it seems to be under new management. It was just OK. We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu as it seemed good value, but the quality of the hot food was pretty poor. The sushi was better but overall we left disappointed.

Ordered: A few Kirin Beers, and TASTINGMENU(Ie All you can eat rolls) Price: £12 beers, £16.50 tasting menu! Review: Wow — came here with a friend. Must admit it is a tad far for those that don’t work or don’t live nearby. BUT, it is all you can eat sushi+7 hot dishes(no AYCE on the hot foods). The fish isn’t the best in the world — obviously, BUT it is a good laugh being in the middle of nowhere, and eating a ridiculous amount of sushi! I will be definitely coming back for more sushi!!! I liked their spicy rolls quite a bit — spicy tuna, spicy salmon! On top of that… the tasty avocado, salmon, mayo combo. Can’t ask for more! Cheap, Fun, and Quiet! Come here early if you are going to go out afterwards because it is a little far away!

We ordered the first time at Yokoso as we had a flyer and wanted to try. On the phone they said the delivery will take 45 min we ended up waiting more than 1 h, but that can happen. The food was good, but unfortunately not hot anymore. I ordered Bulgogi and it was tasty but the portion was very small, for me it was ok but for a man definetely too small.

Has potential. So, this restaurant just opened up. Previously, it was a Vietnamese place, which ran out of business. The location is not ideal for most people, as it is hidden behind several apartment complexes. However, for residents of the apartments, this place is quite convenient. So, I haven’t eaten inside, but I did order takeaway and delivery from them. I’ve had the Beef Teriyaki Don, which was decent. I’ve also had the Pork Katsu Don and their Flyingfish Roe, Salmon, Avocado Maki. Those were also fairly good. Like I said, they have potential. I can tell that they are trying very hard to provide good service, but sometimes it comes off a bit awkward, particularly since their english is not perfect. When I ordered in person, they had difficulty conveying what was going on. They asked me to wait 15 min for the food(which is fine), but then asked for my name and number. When I said that I would just wait there, they seemed surprised and confused. When I ordered delivery(they are located a 30-second walk away), I had to spend about 5 minutes explaining and re-explaining what my full address was. They didn’t know the building name that I was in, despite it being the building directly in front of them. I gave them my postcode, but the lady kept repeating it wrong. When they finally did delivery, 2 guys showed up. One was the delivery boy, while the other was in a suit and had his arms folded. I assume that’s the boss. Very weird. Anyway, they were polite, though, just have bit of an awkward language barrier. Mind you, I have a standard Californian accent. Food quality and price are decent. Last point all the servers are definitely from China. It seemed like the sushi chefs are Japanese, though.

So I came here for the first time with my friend and her family. It was a great experience why? Because I had not eaten«Japanese» in a LONGLONGTIME. I have to say I’m a fan mainly because of when I went, they had a 50% off the whole bill going on during that time. It was DELICIOUS. I ordered: salmon sashimi normally £4 but it was only £2 because of the discount buta kimchi(kimchi with pork) a little too saucy for me but it was still good! saba shiyoyaki(salted mackerel) very good! :) yum these are the 3 dishes I ordered but the rest of my table ordered some: beef teriyaki tonkatsu(breaded pork cutlet) salmon tartare and many other dishes… it was great 5 people and for the price of £14 per person! WHAT A STEAL. I have to say though, it’s a little far from everything. I guess if I lived in that complex area I’d go alot more.
