Great shop for picking up tea sets, dinner sets, cutlery and all sorts of other knick knacks. They have a decent amount of stuff and prices are reasonable. Would come back here for a browse and you never know what you might find.

This shop is adorable. It specializes in selling different series of vintage flowered tea pots and cups worthy of any classic Grandmother’s closet. It also sells vintage scrabble pieces, some old library books and has a small selection of vintage clothes. If you can’t resist the urge to drink out of the flowered tea cups, you can settle yourself down in the the little ‘Cake Hole’ café in the back of the shop. Here you can sit down for a well deserved cup of tea and a piece of cake. Like most of the shops on Columbia Road, Vintage Heaven only stays open on Sundays, during the market hours. As the title suggests, this is true oasis for the antiques lovers.

Vintage Heaven is a little gem of a shop on Columbia Road, open only on Sundays and well worth a visit. Described by its owners as a ‘treasure trove of retro and mid-century objets d’art’, Vintage Heaven sells everything from 1920s umbrella stands to antique scrabble tiles, fifties tea sets to sorbet coloured cake stands. Undoubtedly Mecca for the vintage obsessed, Vintage Heaven is crammed full of the kind of antiques you wish you could find at car boot sales; the kind of antique homewares that would undoubtedly add a certain je né sais quoi to most people’s invariably Ikea furnished abodes. For those with a little less to spend, Vintage Heaven sells ephemera such as forties postcards complete with the most charming images of models with their dogs. OK, they sound pretty inauspicious but I’ve covered my — strangely canine centric — fridge in them and at around 50p a pop this is affordable vintage. My next buy from Vintage Heaven will doubtless be one of their beautiful original Art Deco mirrors etched with a floral motif. A word of advice though: if you see something you like, buy it, Vintage Heaven has a refreshingly high turnover of stock and there’s nothing worse than missing out on a true one-off.

Girly girly girly. And perfect. I’m a big fan of mis-matched china and chintzy things, in an ironic way of course. I would make everyone drink tea out of little tiny cups if I could. And I’m sure I’d do more baking if I had more cake stands. But apparently our house would then look like people are coming round for afternoon tea and this isn’t a good look. Darn. So yes, this shop is as girly as it could possibly get. They sell china and lots of it. Chintzy stuff and(some) more art deco stuff. Things and trinkets that if you think a tea party is the most fun way to spend the afternoon you’ll get giddy over. Imagine my excitement when made my way to the back f the shop do discover a tiny little tea room! It was too busy for me to sit(hardly surprising) but I peeked my head through the door to discover that a cream tea with quiche and cake is just £6.50 per head. I love them. I popped back later and it was STILL busy. But here’s the thing, as they’re right next to Columbia flower market, they only open on Sundays! Which I think adds to the lovliness of it all, but makes girly shopping a little bit difficult. They do have a website as well, but it’s pretty impressive that a shop can do so well they only need to open one day a week.
