It was the worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten from in my life. In fact I could not eat more than one dish and throw the rest of the order in the trash. As well as the order was NOT complete, as I have ordered a piece of tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, lamb rogan, chicken makhani, tandoori king prawn raita, pilau rice and naan bread. BUT they delivered it to me without naan bread and chicken makhani. However if you need to try Indian food please don’t order from this restaurant, because you will pay for nothing and will not forget how it was an awful experience.

I eat from here on average once per month, both eat in and take away. In a few years of ordering, I’ve never been left unimpressed. A number of my favourite dishes include the prawn/chicken shashlick, the lamb madras, the chicken khata and my new number one — the non vegetable thali. With this you are served a lamb dish, a chicken dish, yoghurt, rice, a naan, a tandoori prawn, half a tandoori chicken and a tandoori sausage. All for £13 or so. Really worth the price. The service is very friendly and for delivery one of the waiters jumps in the car and drops the food off. With orders over a tenner they’ll always throw in a vegetable dish and with orders over £15, a bottle of wine. One of the best Indian restaurants I know. Oh, and the lamb green masala is also first class.

Villa Bombay is a good place for a curry! It is a local restaurant and very much part of the area. Whenever I eat there I notice that people who enter often come in for take-away and the staff always seems to know who everyone is. My boyfriend is such a regular that he doesn’t need a menu, the waiter just confirms that he wants the same thing he always gets. The food is good but I wouldn’t get too creative with what you order. They make a very good curry and that’s what I stick with. I have tried to order other things but they are never as good as the curry. The food and service are what makes this place a popular local destination and it’s a nice way to spend an evening.
