Situated just one minute from Collier’s Wood station, Venus is a remotely swanky looking bar and lounge featuring a full on restaurant and cocktail menu. Some may find the darkened tint on the windows quite imposing but everything else inside Venus is comfortable, and looks good, if at times a bit garish. I recommend the Long Island Iced Tea, the staple of every Hawaiian-shirt wearing, Club-Med visiting, cocktail drinking tourist. Not that it’s just for tourists, but you can judge a place on its Long Island Iced Tea because they’re so common. I’m not sure what it’s like here on weekends though, having only visited once during the week.
