I am a massive fan and regular purchaser of the 2 kilo tubs of hummus sold here. Someday I will get around to buying other things, but as of right now it’s just a one container a week habit.
People working here are friendly also.

I haven’t been to other branches of TFC, so can’t compare to them, but the Camberwell branch is a really good turkish supermarket, with quite a few unusual ingredients as well as some of the more mainstream in the uk. All are at decent prices (especially the olive oil). However, it would be quite hard to buy all the ingredients for a meal here. A Turkish friend says that there are also several Turkish staples she would have expected tp see that they don’t stock.

Camberwell finally gets its Turkish supermarket in true fashion to suit the needs of the local Cypriot, Turkish and Greek communities here as well as any locals who misses the taste of their favourite holiday. This supermarket is the latest from the TFC chain but probably the best designed one. There is a nice selection of food, which goes beyond the SE Mediterranean cuisine but caters for many eastern European palates. Nice bakery counter where you can get fresh pide and simit as well as a selection of börek and sweets like baklava. Wine selection include the Turkish Kavaklidere and Çankaya which are worth a try. You can also get your kitchen utensils including double chamber Turkish tea pots. They have a loyalty card scheme so remember to ask at the till. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is the price tag; some products are quite overpriced but if you are a wise shopper, you won’t be stung.
