Looks like TH has relocated to Haverstock hill. The place has a lot to offer and the staff is generally great. However, opening times are inconsistent, so showing up can be a crapshoot. The bigger issue is the owner, who is downright rude and a nasty nasty piece of work. Beware not to overstay your welcome, as even if the place is empty you will be the object of scorn. Given the many local alternatives this place does not merit the risk. Also, as the place generally is empty i suspect it wont be open for long. Hopefully someone with a more customer positive sensibility will take over.

I wish I could give a half a star and that is purely for the incredibly rude owner. Though I won’t because the waitstaff were nice and noticeably uncomfortable by the owners treatment of us. DONOTGOHERE!!! I tried to arrange to have a few people meet up here. I called ahead of time and was told on the phone, by the owner, that she was too busy working in the kitchen to handle it. Each time she said she’d call me back. She never did. So I show up with my people — three to be exact — and was yelled at — YELLEDAT — for not confirming the situation. Did I mention that she yelled at me as if I was a small child. In front of other baffled customers. Apparently she was going to be packed — SUPERBUSY — and asked us to leave. She literally threw away business. Sadly, had to listen to her confused waitstaff wonder why she was kicking out business. Completely insane. The servers kept apologising even though they had nothing to do with it. I’d been here before and it was nothing to shout about. Usually empty with ok food. But now, never again.

Well, you try to stay out of chain cafes and patronise local businesses instead and what do you get? You get to pay handsomely for a tiny cup of coffee and a wafer thin slice of cake at Tupelo Honey! And yes, as has been written elsewhere this place is extremely laptop unfriendly: I was banished to sit alone in one of their unheated, unused upstairs rooms as soon as they deemed that I had outstayed my welcome. However, the low point of my visit was being treated to a lecture from the less than convivial manager,(while sitting alone in said unheated upstairs room etc), about how working on a laptop is damaging to my health. Well, gosh, thanks for your concern! Um, your customer service is damaging to your business! So, let’s recap: overpriced tiny portions, bad service AND a free lecture about how I make my living? The one star is only for the fireplace, which performed admirably — until I was told I couldn’t sit near it any more. Failure on all counts, Tupelo Honey.

I was in search of Australian cafes in Camden, and turned up this little haunt. You walk in and you’ll feel like you’re in Melbourne. The food was all very good(just short of great); the drinks and coffee too. My experience was just short of being 5-stars; however, if I lived in the area, I suspect I’d become a regular.

Its was a surprise and wonderful to have a glass of ice cold taps water offered with out pretence. I dont come to camden often but I will be coming back just for tupelo honey!

Cute ambience, cute place, OK lattes, good bruchetta. I wish they had a bigger range of finger foods instead of bigger lunch or meal options… we just wanted to stop off to have a hot cup of coffee and some snacks. oh well!

Once a month I meet some of my old work colleagues here for a coffee and a cake. The first time we went it was sort of a ‘hey that place looks alright lets go there’ accident but now it’s become a sort of ritual to meet here for our catch-ups as we had such a lovely time. In the evenings, there is a really chilled out atmosphere and the staff always greet us like we are old friends. The hot chocolate is to die for and I can definitely recommend the apple tart or raspberry tart for anyone with a sweet tooth.

It’s nice. The staff could be friendlier and the décor could be made better. I wasn’t impressed with the pasteries they serve either.

This is one of my favourite places in Camden. I sit in the front window, order a coffee and a bite to eat, and I watch the world go by. I’ve always loved the food here. You get some lovely salads/veggies with what you order, so lovely that I actually look forward to getting my five a day when I visit. The staff are usually rushed, but are always good-natured. I’ve never had bad service here.

I’m going to say, 4 stars if you’re looking for a cup o’ Joe and some nice ambiance, but 3 for the food(based on my one meal alone). It’s kind of surprising to find this cute, corner café in bustling Camden. This two story café has a really great sense of place and I wouldn’t mind coming back with some friends or on my own for some coffee/tea. However, I must say I wasn’t all that blown away by my sweet chilli and ginger chicken with rice. The sauce was flavorful, but the bits of chicken kinda tasted like over-cooked, leftover chicken that someone threw in. It was also a little pricey for what it was — £10.95. I’m guessing they felt they could price it as so since they serve a side salad with it, but I can’t see the cost justification when the side salad is a bit soggy.

From the outside, it seems like the kind of refuge from the madness of Camden that you’d expect. And I arrived and had an absolutely wonderful strawberry & pomegranate juice and sat outside in the collapsing chair. Then I wanted a cup of tea. So I asked for one. Which I was told was impossible due to something with the register or the ticket or something. Much confusion ensued, so I paid for my pomegranate juice and said«Now can I have a cup of tea, please?» I was completely ignored. It’s too bad. It seemed like a nice place, but no amount or order of words got me a cup of tea. I had to go to Nero down the street. At least they had a toilet.

I always enjoy this place, and I defnitely do not go often enough. On a recent snowy day, however, I spent about 5 hours in here. You order downstairs at the front counter, and can then go sit in the charming little rooms of what must be an old residence while you chat and await your friendly if somewhat rushed table service. There is also a roof deck which is a nice place to sit on the two days a year the weather merits such things. I had a fantastic lunch of chorizo and brie sandwhich — one of my favourite orders here, followed by a long chat about a play and an impromptu read through with coffee and hot chocolate(the cocoa is ok, but not stellar — rumour has it the coffee is better, but I wouldn’t know). During the course of our afternoon, we changed tables 4 times to achieve better lighting for our play reading, and then to be near the fire while we finished the evening with a glass of wine. When we finally went downstairs to pay, they actually thought we’d disapeared on them, but were not at all stressed about out seeming perfidy, but simply wrote us a new bill with a smile and a shrug. A couple things to be aware of here that can be annoying if one is not warned: they do not allow laptops at all, and you often cannot sit on the first floor unless you are eating — sometimes, when it’s really busy at lunch times, you actually can only sit at the counters when you’re not eating. they have a £10 limit on credit cards, and if you’re just here for lunch, your bill will likely be less than that — though they will let you run down the street to the cash point.

Hooray! We LOVE Tupelo Honey! This is an adorable little place for coffee and sweet treats… It’s lovely to sit outside and do some people watching while sipping an espresso. Staff seem really friendly and everything I’ve tasted has been fresh and delicious. Give it a try!

EASILY the best café in Camden. Get off the main drag, trundle up Parkway and take a load off here. They’ve got loads of space, excellent quality coffee and refreshingly lovely staff that serve it to you. Not tried the food, but next time I’m killing time before a gig nearby, I’ll give it a go.

Stumbled across this place lookin for some caffeine after a jaunt in Regents Park. Seatings across 3 floors, with a roof terrace for those sunnier days. We only got coffee but twas fairly good value considering, although charging £2.60 for concentrate orange as one of our gang got was a bit out there. No clutter in the café and plenty of comfy seating; definitely be back.

Been here many a time and still love it. The key to Tupelo Honey is their healthy food options. Now whether I can call big portions healthy is another matter so perhaps I should say you eat well here(and can tick all your five a day boxes). Quirky chairs and seating with a small patio area outside lends charm. And if your looking for just a coffee, then they do Illy. No table service though so order at the counter and they’ll bring it to you.

Tupelo Honey is one of those places I’ve walked by a hundred times but had never gone into. But on a bitterly cold day while trying to decide with family whether we should have a late breakfast or an early lunch we sough shelter in the restaurant. There was no breakfast to be had, but lunch certainly didn’t disappoint. White Tupelo Honey offers some unique flavour combinations, nothing is too far out to put off unadventurous palates. A ginger chicken had the perfect balance of sweetness and tang and was amazingly tender, while a honey chicken and leek pie provided an exciting twist on a familiar dish. If any complaint can be made it’s that the side salad is little more than sprouts and bunches of coriander(which isn’t a bad thing if you’re a fan of both). But with an open fire going, loads of heaters and a great selection of fresh fruit juices, it was a lovely little place to pass a chilly afternoon.

After a day walking around and battling against the stresses of London life, the one place that I always wish was just around the corner is Tupelo Honey. I do not know whether it is the fragrant teas, the cozy lighting or just the fact that each of the dining rooms feels as relaxing and welcoming as home. Order wholesome, home cooked and healthy meaty and vegetarian meals, cakes and pastries, teas, coffee and wine. With so much to offer, this is the type of place that once I have sat down I find it difficult to justify leaving.

Opposite my friends flat which is why I went but glad i did! It has a lovely roof terrace and inside is pretty nice too. A little over priced for what it is. In fact I was going to give it 4 stars but have changed my mind. Nearly a tenner for a lasagne and other mains — very nice but not that big with a couple of potatoes and some roast veg. And really expensive wine. But all very pleasant. Not sure about the staff — seemed a bit up themselves.

Given that this place is literally opposite my house, I really should have been here more. In fact, I hadn’t ever even been up to the little roof terrace before this weekend. And this place is nice — reminds me a little of the Trof in Manchester City Centre — windy staircase and a few different rooms to choose from. The food is displayed on the counter downstairs and looks nice, although haven’t tried it, and they have a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks, but they aren’t cheap. But it was practically empty — for a nice day in the centre of a bustling Camden Town this place should have been packed — and I’m not sure why it wasn’t(and hardly ever is). The staff aren’t the friendliest, and there is something off-putting about going in an empty place — especially when there is so much seating spread out over 3 floors. But sitting on the roof, drinking crisp white wine in the afternoon sun and being able to smoke(an increasing rarity unfortunately) was lovely, and next time the weather’s good I’m sure I’ll go back. An extra star for amazing food today, lovely table and good wine.
