My friends and I were studying at University of Sussex for 2 months already and we were all craving home cooked Asian food. I personally did not have any yummy Asian food while I was in London so we decided to give this all you can eat place a try. It was about £15 a person when we went, the price might have increased since then. It was a decent selection of all types of Asian food, fried rice, chow mein, kung pao chicken, sushi, lots of seafood, yummy desserts, etc… Everything was decent but it still wasn’t homecooked food so I was only partially satisfied. The waiters were very attentive and the restaurant’s atmosphere was very clean and modern decors. It was really spacious, too. It did its job to satisfy my craving for Asian food until I went home to my mom’s yummy food.

One of few proper Chinese restaurants outside of Chinatown. Have to admit that the dim sum menu is a bit lackluster but the variety seen on the evening menu more than compensates. Highly recommend you skip over the conventional dishes and jump right into the seafood section. They serve what I would regard as high-brow fare, with a particular focus on crustaceans and shellfish. If you’re a fan of chili oil, you’ll definitely love what they’ve got.

Tried the food twice but have the feeling I won’t visit here anymore. The soup is so-so, actually Chinese soups are very easy to be cook well. The chicken is too spicy I couldn’t taste anything part of chili.

Me and my sons ate here on Octoner 1st. i had a won ton soup, which was ok. the main course was ok as well. Service was a little slow, even with hardly anyone in the restaurant. Not my most favorite chinese restaurant.

I’ve been here twice and both times were for private bookings of the restaurant, so the quality could be different. Anyway, this place is fairly decent. Nothing really wrong with it. Although there was one dish with really yellow chicken and they added one strawberry to the plate. Quite bizarre. What else… it’s fairly large, one of the bigger Chinese restaurants I’ve seen in London. So, that’s that.

We tried this place for the first time yesterday — although we live in the area, we had never really noticed it before. The whole family went in for a nice dim sum lunch. I have to say, the dim sum menu is relatively limited — maybe 20 – 30 dishes available. The usual suspects are there(har gao, siu mei, cheung fun, etc) and all made reasonably well. The noodle dishes seem to be a little on the small side(to the extent that my dad ordered 3 different noodle dishes), and for some reason, the egg tarts take 15 minutes to cook(these are normally the first thing that leaves the kitchen in other dim sum restaurants!). But the egg tarts are really hot and taste nice(I’d go as far as, they are are the nicest thing on the dim sum menu). I’m guessing that the standard a la carte menu is better. Overall, it was pleasant enough. I do like the décor — although we are in an arch under London Bridge, inside is quite bright and not dimly lit like some of the other places along the bridge. The food is OK. It didn’t amaze me, but it’s always nice to find a new dim sum restaurant in the neighbourhood. If I was still working nearby, then I might be tempted in regularly for lunch.

Warning! This is no longer a fabulous buffet! The buffet is blocked up, the tables changed and is now serving a la carte only. Quick look at the menu and it was standard chinese fare with standard chinese prices. RIP the buffet — we left. Update — Tuli brought out a lunch menu circa £7.50 for 2 courses so me and a workmate went to try it out. OMG. Gross. Starters were ok but tiny tiny and a on reflection the chiken skewers had a texture that was not altogether chickeny. Mate’s lemon chicken was putrid bright yellow, congealed and tasted like paint stripper. It was also cold and sent back. My beef in oyster sauce then arrived, also stone cold. Mate’s meal arrives back mivrowaved and even more congealed so we told the waiter that we were really unhappy and would be leaving. Cue lots of snide chinese talk between waiters. RUDE! May have been in a language I do not speak but I knew what they were saying. Manger then arrived, apologises profusely and we go to leave — we do offer to pay for our starters and drinks but the manager refuses. Fair play but we still won’t be going back. ever. Oh and final point — the lighting is wierd, its like super bright, slightly blue hospital lighting. The kind that would give most people a migraine even if they are not a sufferer to start with. Go to the Hing Loon on Borough High Street instead.

Seemed pretty busy at lunch time and the food looked fresh but it didn’t taste all that special(the three vegetarian dishes were three different vegetables in the same sauce!). The starters and puddings were nice, although one of the puddings, a little round brown lump, tasted of absolutely nothing! No flavour at all! The fresh fruit was nice, but only because it was the only thing with flavour.

I have passed this place a few times and yesterday decided to try it out. This Asian buffet restaurant has a large bright and modern interior. There is a wide range of food and it’s all rather pleasant. The atmosphere is bright and airy, the food is prepared in small quantities so it is always fresh, there is a wide range of starters and deserts as well as what seems from memory to be thirty or so main course dishes. I like it and I imagine that the owners of the nearby Great Wall of China must be very worried.

Not too great. We went there on a Saturday night and the place felt pretty empty. Certainly a full class better than your usual all you can eat Asian food place but also no where near a nice tepanyaki or sushi place. Actually, i would not touch the sushi and stick to what comes from the grill. Service was friendly. Maybe they improve over time, place seems pretty new.

When I first moved to London, sometimes I craved for Chinese food, especially buffet styles. Walking around Chinatown for the first time, I saw small buffet places. I laughed until I realised that this was the norm. Tuli reminds me of a typical Chinese buffet place that you would find in Canada. It is big. For a restaurant in the archways of London Bridge it is really well decorated. There is a lot of food selection. The quality is decent, it is better than most buffet places in London. They have a grill area where they cook raw food for you too. The dessert selection is small, no ice cream, but at least there is one. Overall it is hope and the leader for the buffet scene in London. It just opened and they said they are gonna add more items to the menu. Looking forward to the new changes. This is really a 3.5 star rating, but alas can’t give halfies on Unilocal.I want to give it 4 stars but couldn’t because as much as it is leaps beyond other buffet places in London it is still far from places back home. The service was good so I’ll round up even though proper math says I should round down.
