This is the flagship store. I love the concept but find it a bit too expensive and a lot of the fabrics they’ve put together look really bad. The accessories are better as they are less rehashed. It’s never busy in this store, it would get way more people here if it was nearer the market as there are more similar shops there.

Fancy handmade recycled fashions that are unique and great quality? Look no further than Camden Traid. I’ve been to a few of these and I have to say this is one of the best stocked stores. You’ll find a nice selection of pretty trendy vintage clothing at the front and some fabulous handmade creations at the back. They also sell good quality accessories too. It’s places like this that make me love London. No where else will you find a play suit made out of 80s fabrics that were once a selection of dresses. There is a huge selection of customise t shirts that are super cute with really On Trend lace collars and lamb chop sleeves. They are perfect for gifts and for me. Price range, it’s mid high street. They seem to know what they are selling here so it means that you won’t get a leather bag for a fiver, more like £20. But I do give the credit where it’s due. There will be more than just one thing that you want from this shop so it’s totally worth a visit.

Traid is not your everyday second hand store, they also retouch and recycle clothes. Cool, I guess. The smart high street appearance stands Traid well above your usual dowdy second hand clothing outlets, and will attract in custom from those who would normally run from buying anything pre-owned. Many shops in this market have annoyingly jumped on the ‘vintage’ bandwagon so they can charge inflated prices. Traid thankfully haven’t done this, and their broad style offerings are reasonably priced.
