The White Onion

Wow! What a fabulous restaurant experience I’ve had tonight. A rainy wet evening and just happened to change my arrangements to meet in Wimbledon Village. Thought we’d try this place incase they had space for a walk in and oh my goodness I’m so glad they fit us in. 30 minutes late the place was packed. The service was attentive but not intrusive and they explained all the dishes in detail with some suggestions for additions and wine or not! The whole meal was to die for and each plate looked picture perfect! Terrine was outstanding with homemade walnut bread. The watercress sauce added just the right amount of bite to the herb crusted cod and the Mille feuille, oh god that was incredible.
A lovely dining atmosphere and a place to savour got a special occasion as village prices. Christmas lunch menu looks reasonable though so I’ll be back!
