I can’t say too much about this place as I never even entered the establishment! It was such a nice sunny winter day we stood out the front enjoying the weather and fantastic views of the Thames and Richmond bridge. You also get to enjoy the steady flow of people walking along the river and as we had our dogs with us everyone was stopping for a pat of the dogs and a friendly chat. They had three youngs ales and I had a winter warmer which was a nice dark ale. I’ve heard the food is really good too, but be weary of high tide as you can get cut off! But I can think of worse places to be stranded!

My favourite riverside pub is gently located next to the gorgeous stone Richmond bridge and has an awe factor, especially for visitors such as myself. Particularly great on a Sunday when folks are out in full on the patio and others strolling along the Thames. I am a fan of their malty Young’s Special ale as well as their stronger Bitter. Try the fish and chips, especially if it’s cold out. Definitely avoid the ornery Rasta dude who sometimes hangs near the entrance, unfortunately he isn’t too irie.

I have to say my favorite pub in London! It is located along the river Thames near the Richmond upon Thames area. It has the perfect setting for a gorgeous day of people watching, watching boats along the river, and the pictures on Unilocal do it no justice! I loved all the pretty flowers, the outdoor seating, the indoor seating with the big windows. It’s very open and airy, but I suggest sitting outside to really take in the scenery. We came for Sunday roast. You can slurp up the drippings with Yorkshie pudding. Apparently they run out, so it’s a good thing we all got our share of Sunday roast. I got the chicken and my hubby got the roast. For sure I would suggest the roast. My friend and I got Pimms. This was my first time trying Pimms and it was wonderful! We never got a bill, so my understanding is you order at the bar and bring your food to your table. Outside tables are hard to find, but we got lucky. Sunday menu is what I suggest. Here it is: British 21 day aged sirloin of beef w. horseradish £131⁄2 Half roast chicken w. home made stuffing £121⁄2 Dingley Dell pork belly w. apple sauce £121⁄2 All our roasts are served w. home made double egg Yorkshire pudding, goose fat roasties, root vegetables, savoy cabbage & plenty of gravy Baked nut roast w. roast potatoes, vegetables & Yorkshire pudding(v) £12 Afterwards do yourself a favor and take a walk along the river and see the locals laying out in the sun, having a picnic, kids playing, and many people outside enjoying life. It’s really a happy place to be. If I had seen this on Unilocal sooner, I would have taken more pics.

Nice place right on the river in Richmond. They have a nice outdoor area, where you can sit and watch the day go by. Quick trip inside to order drinks and food… we had the lamb burger, which came with some fries(chips). Everything was good and fresh. Definitely a nice way to spend the afternoon.
