Walk in with a parting, show a picture of a parting, ask her to confirm that she’s good with the cut, then ask at the end«okay, now can we do this with parting?» She looks at me and says«but this wasn’t meant to be a parting, right?» All you needed to do was to cut my hair, the way I showed you, and you couldn’t get it done!

A great vibe, a free bottled beer, and some meticulous hairstyling are a great start to a barbershop experience. £23.50 runs on the pricey end for a haircut with no wash to follow, but the outcome was superior to the £11 deal I get from the place I used to go on Leather Lane(as one would hope). I could see it possibly being inconvenient that they don’t take bookings, but they’re reportedly open on Saturdays, so that might be a good way to miss the work crush, given the limited residences in the neighbourhood.

Typically it’s a long time between haircuts for me. By the time I start to look like Seventies Man sans gold rim aviators, I know it is time for a haircut. I guess like most men I do not go out of my way on the style aspect of haircuts, grabbing them where I can. I’ve been to the Wacky Barber Co a few times now, the Haircut with a free wash is £23.50, and if you want clippers only it starts at £13. So it’s a little on the pricey side. But, I guess they need to pay the bills. There is a free beer offered, every time you snuggle into your seat. Nice surroundings, always some nice sounds oozing out at a decent volume. I recommend it if the only time you have for a haircut is during the working week. Open 8am to 7pm

No, the hairstyles aren’t wacky, I suppose the staff are. They’re allowed to have fun at work which means you do too. No snobbishness here, ask for what you want and you’ll get it, whether you’re a streep sweeper or city slicker. It’s not cheap at over £20 per haircut(under £10 is cheap for men!) but the cut is good and they do throw in a ‘free’ beer! The place is strewn with boys toys which I guess are used to make some of the wackiness advertised.
