Overall a very local blue-collar pub. No AC. Cask Ales were way too warm although tasty. Locals drinking away. They said they had food but I didn’t see anyone eating. I would not go back. Maybe a different day would be better… But 5:30 pm on a Friday this place felt like a dive. Bartender was super friendly.

This an excellent traditional bar tucked away on the quiet and iconic street of page’s walk. The landlord was very friendly and even showed us to a seat! Locals are very local and very friendly and welcoming. For a quiet beer in the evening(without the nonsense and pretense of the nearby wine bars and cokctail bar) this is definately the right choice! Bravo!

This is such a friendly local’s pub! I wandered in here looking for somewhere to watch the football. It wasn’t actually showing the match I wanted to see, but by the time I realized I was already having a laugh with the locals and the barmaid and decided I didn’t want to leave! I even had a couple of drinks bought for me by the friendly patrons. I think food is served during the day, but I’m not sure about the evening. I didn’t see a menu of any kind, but some of the tables were set up as if for eating. This pub has a lovely old fashioned feel both inside and out. It was actually recently used on an episode of the new ‘Minder’I guess because of the way it looks. Unlike on the TV show though it didn’t burn down. it is still very much here and I’d recommend tracking it down if you are in the area(it is not the easiest to findbut that probably helps maintain the local’s feel to the place).
