Great deals here. The service’s a bit slow but they can offer you great discounts if you look sceptical enough. Their almond and coconut naan with chicken korma is creamy and filling — to die for.

The Spice is located on charming Brick Lane in East London. It’s an often foggy, old, picturesque part of town with narrow streets and 2 – 4 story buildings, mostly of brick(go figure). At corners and pedestrian walks are metal pillars that, it turns out, are recycled cannon from the Napoleonic era. We were enjoying all these wonders when we found ourselves facing a row of Indian restaurants and suddenly quite hungry. The Indian food in London is often wonderful, as you might imagine. This was no exception. We had a romantic table for two, with candle light and a white table cloth and attentive, discreet service. I asked for my food super-extra – extra spicy and they obliged. The price was reasonable, especially for London, and it was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. When we(someday, I hope!) return to London we will seek this out.
