I’ve yet to make it to The Shop in the evening — been past these steamed up windows many times before on my way home via Kensal Rise. While the bar is teaming with happy revellers at night, it’s quite a different picture on a late Saturday morning. They make a decent coffee, but with the heating off and only a splattering of visitors it wasn’t exactly cosy and my first visit was a bit of a disappointment.

The Shop was one of the main reasons I wanted to move to Kensal Rise. It has a really cool vibe about it, you’ll always see familiar faces at the bar of their regulars which makes it seem a bit of a home away from home, just with amazing cocktails(only £6 — unheard of in London!) and an impressive selection of bar snacks and bigger bites to eat for the extra hungry. Weekends host a vintage clothing pop-up shop, so you can browse the well priced goodies after chilling out with one of the best cups of coffee in Kensal Rise. While the wait time for food is a little longer than you’d usually expect to wait, it is worth it — just give the bar staff a nudge to chase the food! We’ve had everything from Mexican to Vietnamese food here, part of their pop-up restaurant nights or just part of their usual menu. Each time the food as been spot on. The brunch is damn delicious too!

Decent selection of beers on tap for a place this size. Tasty cocktails — well balanced. The fact they are hosting pop up street food chefs on a rolling basis takes it up the extra notch from a decent drinkin hole to a lovely evening out. We went mid week. Ate some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had by ‘when mac met cheese’. Atmosphere was both relaxed and hip.

Amazing little gem in Kensal Rise. Delicious pop up food and the cocktails are made with perfection. A must!

Cocktails in milk bottles and jam jars!(If you like that sort of thing). Good tunes, always a few fashionistas in there. A bit small but nice concept, buy anything on show.

Great little cocktail bar in the Kensal Rise area. As calemox said, very subdued and cool cocktails in odd bottles and jars. Some are a bit on the pricey side but all delicious(well the ones I have tried including the shop assistant and margarita). they also have beer on tap and I’m sure will make a regular drink(ie vodka & soda) but haven’t asked so don’t quote me on that. They also have a very small patio out front great for catching the last rays of the afternoon sun(when it shows its face in London). Friendly bar staff!

Subdued cocktail ‘local’ par excellence. There’s no signange, no Here we are!.. you can only tell by the steamed up windows that. something. is. going. on. behind those closed doors. Excellent cocktails out of jam jars and milk bottles. As the name suggests, everything is for sale in The Shop. There are sofas, wooden kitchen tables, art on the wall and board games at the DJ set. Oh and watch out for the Lemon Prison.
