Came here with friends for catch up. Location was difficult to get to if using public transport but if driving is pretty straightforward and even has a car park in the back. It’s a typical old man’s pub and surprisingly quite welcoming to newbies. It is quite spacious, has quite a few tables, well spaced out. They do have something on every weekend whether it be karaōke or a live band. It is children friendly up to 9pm then no children allowed which I think is fair. One of my friends had her son with her and they were really accommodating which was nice. The drinks were reasonably priced and the bar was very well stocked. There’s no food served here but they are ok with you bringing in food from one of the nearby takeaways and eating it here. If in the area it’s worth popping in for a drink. A bit out of the way just to make a special effort to visit. Due to the location and where my friends live I might come in again.

Went in becasue I was told it had been revamped. Iffy bar staff! Woman necking an alcopop bottle whilst turning the music up full blast to impress her little group of regulars the only people in the pub! Hardly surprising. Beer was allegedly Fullers but it was so far on the turn it could have been anything not associated with ale! Didn’t complain didn’t dare! Couldn’t here myself think so sat in the garden despite the weather. Best to give this a wide berth if you value your hearing.

great beer and a super atmoephere, had a few games of pool with the regulars in there and they had some great friendly banter, look forward to my next beer in there.
