The Plough is a really nice old pub that is situated off East Sheen High Street. East Sheen is not endowed with great pubs and the Plough is in my view the best of them. It is now a gastro pub with extensive food which I haven’t tried. The theme is rustic rural and the interior is very nice indeed. The Plough of the name can be seen outside. I haven’t eaten here but will give it a try. Beers are a little dissapointing as it is mainly Fuller’s faire.

Good pub, nice staff, good food, nice relaxed atmosphere. Been several times for a pint after tennis at the local courts. Popular with the locals…

Food was a bit below average, and the service was rude and unfriendly. Won’t be going back.

Hi! I went to Everest Base Camp and was going to Annapurna this past April/May. I can tell you that I found good prices in Kathmandu. I went shopping with my guide though and he seemed to get good deals. I think he rents-out sleeping bags. You can get them in Pokhara too, but you will find a bigger selection in Thamel. this means you can get better deals and will be able to talk them down on the price. It is a Nepali custom(I read in a guide) to bargain. It is fun. You will have no problems wih the weight on the plane. My bag was a bit big, I have a hard time traveling light. I did hire a guide and he took care of hiring a porter. He works with trusted people. I can recommend my guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all looked-out for my safety. He seemed to know just about everyone in Kathmandu and many, many guides and people on the mountain. Because Sanjib knows so many people he was constantly getting updates from up the mountain, or down the mountain. It was great to travel with a guide that has so many established relationships. I found him by chance through a travel forum and then got references from him. That is, I emailed past clients. In no time, I received emails from Italy, Germany and the U.S. singing this guy’s praises, so that is how I went about finding my guide. I found the price very reasonable and I liked the fact that you do not pay until you get there, so you avoid the big down payments and the advance payments as well. I was happy to travel solo. Traveling in a group is great, but for sure, you will not get personalized attention. You can meet a lot of people at the tea houses, or as you go along the trek you will become familiar with others going your way. You can contact Sanjib Adhikari at . ( ) and Mobile No +9779841613822. I recommend email. I am sure he will be happy to provide you with references. Let me know if you have more questions and enjoy!

This pub is a stone’s throw from our old place on East Sheen Avenue and is a very nice, if not a bit threadbare neighborhood boozer in which I have spent many a cold evening during Fall and Winter, and relaxed outdoors on many a balmy Summer evening. You’ll see all the locals out on a Summer evening, some having walked down from Richmond Great Park, others having just finished a day at the local cricket ground and yet others having toiled in their garden all day long. There’s no time schedule at The Plough or at least there shouldn’t be a time schedule at The Plough or any other local on a balmy Summer’s eve; just conversation whether playful, rude, irreverent, political, economic or simply about Bob’s plumber’s crack on view down at the local community garden. If you’re in the neighborhood and in need of refreshment irrespective of time of year or day, please do yourself the favour of taking in The Plough.

Everyone who knows the Plough has likely exhaled a sigh of relief since the new manager Dave has arrived roughly a year ago. Couple this change of management with a move away from the gastro-pub eatery and an excellent kitchen staff, the Plough has rightly found itself develop an excellent reputation, akin to the one it had before as a well liked ‘old local’. Whilst the old world feel has long since left, what has finally taken its place is an excellent pub, with bright interesting staff, good service and reasonable prices(comparative with the local area at any rate!). All in all, a place I feel more and more inclined to spend my time.

Just around the corner from my house, this is a good pub to giro for a drink in the sun. My mum and sister go here for lunch quite alot and when I have been the food has been quite good. Not amazing but not terrible. The pub has a nice outside seating area and the staff are always efficient. It is also walking distance from the park, so you can come here before or after a nice walk.

This pub is a touch sterile but as it is spitting distance from Richmond Park and has a substantial outside seating area, it’s quite a nice setting for a relaxing weekend pint in the sun. There are enough variety of pints to suit everyone and bar snacks and food for the peckish, so sit back and enjoy the countryside vibe in the middle of London.
