Someone turned a traditional irish pub into a caribbean rhum bar and no one told the neighbors. Its pretty big but sectioned off so the front pub area still feels cozy. But there’s also restaurant seating in the back and a function room upstairs. Mom and Pop kitchen operation. Friends and I came after work friday night and ordered bbq chicken wings(tasty and sloppy), chips(big and yummo), jerk chicken plate(with rice and beans and salad delicious and filling) and the mutton stew plate(equally tasty). On a more personal note I have been watching«Come Dine With Me» way too much recently, but consequentially have been hearing about Ackee and Saltfish and wanted to finally try it… and it tasted like fishy fish. The ackee fruit looked like scrambled eggs but didnt taste like anything because of the overpowering saltfish. Apparently you can get goat curry, but for takeaway only? Not sure why though. They have the usual themed«off» nights. Salsa night, comedy night, karaōke. Going to try and get my coworkers to come back here for karaōke night one Thursday evening. The three stars is due to awkward customer service. Not friendly, but not mean. You do your own thing and I’ll do mine, and try not to bother me too much… is what I got from it really.

A huge group of us arranged a surprise leaving do here and the staff accommodated us wonderfully! The food was lovely. Everything tasted home made and packed an amazing amount of flavour. I tried some of(almost) everyone’s food and thoroughly enjoyed each dish. The starter of BBQ chicken was nice a sticky with a good coating of BBQ sauce. I had the brown stew chicken which tasted just like a chicken my grandmother makes. The jerk chicken was cooked tenderly and had a good amount of sauce. The staff were super nice. Will definitely stop by if I am in the area again!
