Really enjoyed going here. Had the aran conical an steak and both were excellent. Had a few pints of endless ale also good. The service was fantastic quick and friendly. Overall a lovely experience

Couldn’t be happier to have this as my local. Careful and creative kitchen with changing menu every lunch and dinner, but in a resolutely ‘proper pub’ setting — good beer on draft, not too many tablecloths(just a few tables at back that can be reserved). Cheery bar staff. Only slight problem is that they sometimes run out of dishes, but this is to do with fresh ingredients /keeping costs down. Oh, and there’s hot crusty white bread and butter to eat in large quantities while you wait…

Fantastic!!! Excellent food, wine and atmosphere. We lucked out by renting a flat within walking distance to this marvelous restaurant/pub. Living in this area, within walking distance to this establishment would be heaven. Glad we have another week left so can pop in a few more times

Delicious! Homemade asparagus ravioli was delicate & spot on. Bartender was helpful, friendly & provided great service. Lots of comfortable seating with windows — casual, relaxed. If I lived here, I’d be a regular.

Lively pub, came in for dinner. Bread was lovely, wine good, well cooked fish although the tomato bean mess it sat on let it down.

Excellent food menu that changes nightly. I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly with nice side dishes. They have a great beer selection and friendly staff, it is a great neighborhood pub with gourmet dishes. I will be back.

Stayed in Kensington neighborhood on vacation and this was the local pub. Great gourmet menu with some traditional options mixed in. Nice selection of beer and great atmosphere. Both times I came in, the staff was pleasant and the vibe was perfect for lunch and dinner.

We were staying at a hotel up the street in Sheppard’s Bush. First night in town, after an exhausting day being a tourist, we asked the front desk for a low key, local gastropub to grab a pint & a quick bite to eat. We were directed to Havelock and ended up staying much longer than we expected. Very friendly, local, neighborhood place. And the food!!! I had an onion tart(quiche) that was outrageous. it’s been a few months so I don’t recall what else we had, but the place left a great impression. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we moved to the bar for more drinks after we were done eating, and hung out some more. Left with full bellies. slept well that night.

My new favorite place in London. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and unbelievable staff. Wheather it’s drinks or dinner you have to check it out. 2 nights back to back. I’ll be back. No question.

The Havelock Tavern is an unassuming-looking neighborhood pub, with some interesting beers on tap, and a surprisingly daring menu. I had the Braised Pig Cheeks and was amazed by how tender and flavorful they were. The pub is in a residential neighborhood, so it’s pretty much filled with locals and regulars, but the servers/bartenders are welcoming and friendly, so give it a try!

Thought this place had a better menu a couple of years ago. Good wine list and always packed with interesting people.

Went here for dinner, rather than just drinks and overall really enjoyed it. It’s quite large with a garden, and a nice ‘pub on the corner’ feel to it. Food is good, with a menu that changes twice daily: we had starters and main and both were large and good. Prices consistent with the area(£7 for a starter, £14 for mains), wine list ok. Nice for a quiet night out, probably good for a group of friends too

I used to frequent this pub a couple of years ago. When I moved out of town, I was bummed. The first thing I did when returning to London was to come here. The food and service are spectacular! Highly recommended!

I’m surprised to hear the poor service review, although it was mainly bar service, so we sent a friend to order drinks and food etc. It’s in a quiet street near Brook Green and has that very homely feel — yes, it’s all wooden tables and mismatched chairs, but possibly the best thing was the home-made bread they serve with every food order. I had a tasty ale and ordered fried mozzarella breaded eggplant(aubergine, whatever!) with salad and relish for a meal. It was actually a starter size but was more than enough for me, so I was happy with the price. I thought it had a nice atmosphere too and probably would go back with mates if I was in the area. Don’t sit in the little annexe off the the rear left, it feels like you’re in the naughty corner, instead stay in the main bar /restaurant area to enjoy people watching and warmth.

Part Gastro pub, part local hangout, very enjoyable all the way around. Comfortable ambiance with wooden tables and tiled walls, but thankfully, not trendy or trying too hard to be quasi bistro. Comfort food with a small daily menu that changes depending on the season and what’s in the kitchen.

Off the busy Shepard’s Bush Road, you find this nice pub nestled in a charming little neighbourhood. I came here to witness a meeting of minds for some new work, and it was great! A few of my companions must frequent this place pretty often as they dying to get their hands on the pub’s homemade bread. And rightly so! It was still warm, just the right temperature to melt the butter into it. I’m a bread-aholic(I like my carbs), and I have to say that was good bread. Although I didn’t get the chance to sample any of their dishes(yet?), if their bread alone is anything to go by, I bet they serve some pretty on par meals.

We visited on a Sunday night, and pub was lively and a nice place to be. The Meantime Pale Ale is reason enough to go. Staff a little on the slow side, but don’t really care on a sunday. Will go again and try the food

An absolutely gorgeous pub, which sits in the heart of west London, really close to Shepherd’s Bush, is the Havelock Tavern. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the tube station and about 5 minutes from Kensington Olympia. We’ve been there so many time with our friends, Shepherd’s Bush locals — it’s their favourite local. In the summer, it’s lovely to sit outside and enjoy a Sunday pint over a nice lunch. However, in the winter this place is transformed into a cosy little gastro pub serving everything from British cuisine to Thai. The food is totally delicious, served on big hot plates and the service is impeccable. The prices are around £10 for a main meal and the drinks are the usual £4-ish for a pint or a large glass of wine. This place is well worth it though, I love the cosy atmosphere and the gorgeous food. It’s a staple, everytime we are in west London.

Having heard that this Pub has been bought by new owners I visted it last week and thought the staff were great, friendy and welcoming great value. The food was fabulous and at long last they now take credit cards.

The pub has some nice things going for it — comfy, nice to look at, decent garden in back, good food — but it’s pretty average in most ways. The service is probably the poorest thing about the place: staff sometimes make it seem like they’re doing you some huge favour by ignoring you for a minute and then taking your order. I prefer the Bird in Hand( ) just a few steps down the road.
