Cute little coffee shop with a rustic and yellow theme. They serve a good coffee and some pastries(brownie, croissant, savoury snacks…) but during my visit I just tried their cappuccino(2.80£ to go) and it was very decent.(I am very picky with my coffee) Staff is welcoming and gave out some good vibes so it really gives a good start of the day. Will be back most definitely for my morning pick me up treat.

Great corner coffee shop where they roast their own beans and bake their own cookies. Plenty of choice of cakes and savoury croissants(both of which along with the coffee is fairly expensive). We shared a cake which was good(v moist but nothing amazing considering the £4 price tag). My mocha however was delicious — good coffee flavour with a just a hint of dark chocolate and served in a cute thick red cup and saucer which a beautiful foam flower on top. My bf also enjoyed his flat white and had another cute design on his as well. It’s on a corner of a quieter street with a few cute shops on but just a stones throw from Marble Arch. Well worth a slight detour to get away from manic Oxford Street. There is inside space(if it looks busy from the outside they have a downstairs) along with a few seats outside. These guys really know what they’re up to and are friendly to boot!

I was staying in the Marble Arch area last week and popped in to The Borough Barista on my way to do a little shopping after a night at the theatre. I had a vanilla latte; quite possibly the best latte I’ve had in the 5 years of being in the UK. I sat and enjoyed it with a croissant while I planned the rest of my day. My only regret was not getting a second one to takeaway with me.

Best coffee in the Marble Arch area — hands down. Food is pricey hey, but good quality although I would probably choose the bakery next door for pastries. Being a tiny corner café it’s great for people-watching, and a sweet spot to read your magazine — especially if it’s the New Yorker or the Atlantic or something like that.

Relaxed place, very good coffee and friendly staff. Love to come here in the morning to pick up my cap. Nothing more to say actually except for ‘5 stars’.

The coffee was fine but the downstairs area was very chilly and pretty dirty. I was there fairly early on a Friday and there were already loads of discarded cups and peoples trash scattered around. It was a nice space and pretty quiet but the messiness was dissapointing.

Great coffee & a cute little coffee shop but probably best not to sit inside… Had two good coffees & a tart that when asked none of the staff knew what was in it. We had been sat down not more than two minutes when we could hear the staff talking loudly behind the counter looking at their mobile phones saying«sh*t» and«f**king hell» then later the girl at the counter said«you’re f**king kidding me!» out loud. Found it very distasteful when we had come here to relax over a nice coffee.

Love this amazing place, latte is really good high quality, the espresso itself is rich of flavor. Nice corner and the service is pretty welcoming too. They have some pastries and fruit but I definitely think that their strengths is in the coffee !

Love, love this place! The lattes are very smooth with no after taste, and outdoor seating is just sublime. At the end of sweet little block of charming restaurants and shops. Nice big pain au chocolate tried on one occasion, and a delicious cinnamon apple muffin the other. Both were absolute perfection!

I don’t usually give out five stars, and I am not doing it today either. This brilliant little coffee shop is worth close to a good 4.5. I liked the space — it was neat and clean, painted in muted colours for a calming, comfy feel. There’s wi-fi for those without fast connection — just ask for the password at the counter. The staff is just lovely — they would serve you well, without eye-rolling or extra attitude. Love it! They have all the proper coffee drinks for a good shop. But what is a machine without someone who can make a brilliant flat white with it? Well, that certainly is not the case here. I had an awesome cup of goodness that was great both in taste and appearance. All that makes the spot perfect for studying/reading/working. There are even some desserts and pastries if you need a sugar rush to get some work done.

Nice little café tucked away near Marble Arch station. The coffee was great, and the décor was pleasant. They also have more spaces downstairs with more comfortable chairs. Would definitely return

I discovered this gem of a coffee shop about a year ago. When I’m in London for business I always make my morning pilgrimage as it’s just down the street from the hotel where I stay. You won’t find the flaccid bitter cappuccinos that Starbucks and Pret regularly serve up in the Borough Barista. Every coffee is perfectly steamed, pulled and presented. They use great quality milk which makes a huge difference. Beyond the coffee, the shop itself is terrifically designed: clean, simple and smart. Happy to hear they’re opening up a new location. Can’t wait to visit it the next time I’m in town.

Following a mention in Vespertine’s Independent Café Guide and strong reviews on Unilocal,I made a trip to this very pleasant coffee place hidden away behind Marble Arch tube station. Good to find this place as this isn’t at the hub of indie coffee territory in the West End. The coffee is high standard. The barista who made my Flat White served a cup of smoothness and joy from top to bottom. Thumbs up! There is also a good selection of cakes and sandwiches(made downstairs I noticed) which I didn’t get to try when writing this review. Friendly service — no snobbishness or attitude!(hurrah!). There is limited seating on two levels so this place is likely to get quite busy and is probably At the time of writing, I sat on the large wooden table downstairs(to do work and write a review) and it was mid-morning so it wasn’t too busy. Other good points: — Good fast and free wifi(certainly not a given in quite a few of London’s indie establishment). — Power points downstairs — Loyalty card Only criticism — it was cold inside!(Snowy Winter’s day and all that). Such a shame that my coffee didn’t sustain my warmth without having to put my jacket back on. That aside, enjoyed thoroughly recommended!!!

Recently I was walking around and then suddenly noticed this little shop. It is a very nice coffee shop in an area where it is not too easy to find a great coffee. Besides a flat white I also very much enjoyed a nice pain au chocolat. Definitely a place I will visit again. Also the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Study spot requirements: Plentiful seating: At the time of my visit(December), it seemed like the downstairs was under construction. I’m not sure if that will become seating, but I hope it does. Upstairs is quite small, and the tables are teeny-tiny with uncomfortable stools. Locally owned: Indeed, and they use locally roasted Union beans Relaxed atmosphere: The tiny, close tables make it not so great for getting work done, and you can’t get far enough away from the door or counter traffic no matter where you’re sitting. The motif is cute, I really hope that downstairs gets some couches! Quality coffee: Absolutely. My cappuccino was delicious. They use a double shot for all of their drinks. It seems like they take their coffee very seriously and I enjoyed the consequences. Snacks: A typical spread, with a few lunch-type items, pastries and desserts. My mozzarella and tomato sammich was pretty good, and they baked goods looked tasty. Price: Just a tad pricier than other places, but the coffee quality was worth the slight difference Wi-fi: Free, ask for the password at the counter As a study spot, I wouldn’t go back(and probably won’t go back, since it’s not worth the trip for take-away) but the coffee was really nice and the staff was friendly, so if you have any other intentions, I definitely recommend a visit.

A great place in London for a Latte. The Barista poured a great cup. I never use sugar in my coffee and this Latte was smooth with no after taste. This neighborhood coffee spot is several blocks from the Marble Arch Underground station. The staff was very friendly.

Possibly the best coffee in London(this is saying a lot, as I’ve been loyal to the wonderful Tom Tom for years). There’s a laid back elegant atmosphere here, with the plank floors and polished farmhouse feel. The staff is warm & friendly(and extremely good looking). Two shots of espresso come standard in every drink. The coffee itself is heavenly — rich, never bitter — the best latte outside of Rome? Maybe the best latte anywhere, including Rome.
