I was new to London and thought I would try a fancy salon, was quite disappointed with my cut from Anthony. I asked for textured layers rather than blunt ones, and I ended up going elsewhere for another cut to get the layers I had wanted. I did walk out of there looking good, but the blunt ends were covered up by all the time he spent curling my hair and I didn’t properly see how it was chopped until I washed my hair.

I was in London for 10 days and decided to chop of my hair for something more modern. After a lot of research and reading up a lot of reviews online, I decided to go to Taylor Taylor on Portobello, and I was not disappointed at all.
Everyone there was so nice and welcoming. My appointment was with Anthony, and he is the nicest, funniest (he tried to convince my husband to learn how to blow dry my hair) most amazing guy !! He took all the time needed to give me the best haircut I have had in years AND answer any question I had and even recommend a good shampoo.
I just love my new haircut, and will definitely go back to Taylor Taylor any time I’m in London.

Im a new international Student in London, wanted a new haircut and style so looked up reviews of places on Unilocal,Im glad I chose Taylor Taylor on Portobello road, especially that its close to my Location at Paddington! I had my hair cut and styled by the director Gary ! I really like my new hairdo and will grow it out an inch so I can style it differently! Everyone is helpful and lovely at the place, you even have a menu for drinks/​coke/​water etc :) Plus the decoration and the area where they wash your hair is state of the art as well! Ill stay with Gary for my academic year at London, happy to work with him :)

I went to Taylor Taylor on Portobello Road due to the fact I am a Notting Hill local and had tried pretty much every, uninspiring salon in the area. I sometimes had a decent service and haircut/​colour but always felt for the money spent the salons didn’t live up to the kind of experience one could wish for in a fabulous place such as Notting Hill… or London for that matter.
A friend introduced me to the Commercial Street branch and I have never looked back. The most beautiful salon is at Notting Hill with a gold room that can only be described as decadent zen. I now have my regular hairdresser as you begin to build a relationship and trust but I have seen 3 different people and equally as happy with the results each and every time.
Just what Notting Hill ordered! A grand, beautiful salon, lovely people, unpretentious with very good competitive prices to boot… what more could a lady ask for?

I’ve been getting my haircut with Taylor Taylor in Shoreditch for a couple of years and this new salon has raised the bar.
Really friendly staff, great décor and drinks, and of course amazing haircuts!!!
Thoroughly recommended.
