This place is a totally wonderful dreamworld. Its totally not out of place on this quirky stretch and there is something about the feel of those little critters which takes me back! great place to have a wonder into with the misus before a nice coffee down the road. And the staff are lovely and patient with me.

Since we were in the Arsenal area, we decided to pop by this little shop. Sylvanian Families are known for their adorable figurines of woodland creatures. They’re really big in Japan, but then again anyone can be in Japan. My boyfriend remembers it from his sister’s set of toys when they were younger. It was amazing that they were still around. This place is small and tiny, and is the original store from the 80s! It’s stuffed with cuteness. You’ll «oOo» and«awww» the ice right out of your cold heart. Nothing like the crappy kids play with today… toys with too much make-up and made with cheap plastic. They have every animal you can think of in anthropomorphic form… owls, otters, bears, ducks, and bunnies. And they have cute little clever names, like the raccoons are the Mulberry family and the ducks are the Waddlington families. We left with two bunnies from the Corntop family and a tea set for his sister as a childhood flashback gift.

I can’t believe that this shop exists. A whole shop dedicated to Sylvanian families, just off the main street between Highbury and Stoke Newington. I’m so glad that these toys are still around– I was a huge fan when I was growing up(I had the school, hotel, farm and had a large collection of frogs, bears, raccoons and rabbits) and am pleased to see that they haven’t tried to rebrand the toys to make them cool/modern. The shop sells figures, accessories, buildings and props. It is amazing.

The only literal shop in the whole world that stocks and sells Sylvanian Families. Remember those toys from your childhood? I loved them, so going to this shop is like taking a trip back in time. The only place in the whole WORLD! Now, I’m completely out of touch with what the kiddies play with these days, but for any parents reading this, please take your young ones here — great toys for your young un’s. or amazing nostalgia who grew up with them.
