My husband and I came here on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the was here. The dough balls here could murder Pizza Express’ any day. We got both the nduju and Camembert dough balls, which were out of this world. We then had our large pizzas that were heavily loaded with toppings, both of us were super happy. We finished with dessert, I had a affogato and he had the tiramisu, both again were amazing and great portions. It’s a bit on the pricy side, but if you download their app and pay through the app, you can get £10 off your first meal. We will definitely hit this place up again.

Situated in a quiet Islington neighbourhood is Sweet Thursday, serving woodfired pizzas and a large selection of wines. The pizzas are good but not amazing(we’ve had better at Franco Manca) — not a destination restaurant but somewhere to try if you are in the area. However, make it your destination if you have kids and want to have a semi-peaceful meal. That’s because the restaurant has a small but functional play area and the classic crayons etc(and high chairs/baby changing). Our little ones loved the ‘Micky’ pizzas! Adults loved the chocolate cake. Brunch at Sweet Thursday is also pretty decent and they run special wine tasting and coffee tasting sessions which are extremely fun and informative.

My favorite local pizza joint for Pizza Fridays(which is ironic since it’s called … you get the picture.). Love sitting outside in the summer and enjoying a carafe of house red with their wood-fired pizza. After a few years of frequenting Sweet Thursday, I’ve developed a favorite … I always order the Salsiccia, which is a delicious blend of cream, mozzarella, spicy sausage and broccoli, and my husband usually opts for the Crudo. It’s a great, low-key place for friends and family to meet(it’s super child-friendly as well, which is good to know if you’ve got little ones!) AND they do a super scrumptious brunch on the weekends, which not too many people know about! Delicious eggs in a pan with tomatoes, olives, and basil and smashed avocado on toast. Though I’ve occasionally booked a table, I usually just turn up and they’re not too busy. They do takeaway as well, though I personally think that the pizza is better enjoyed in-house.

I had takeaway from Sweet Thursday and was highly impressed by the flavor of the crust and toppings as well as some fairly innovative pairings(pine nuts and porchetta I believe…) The pizza crust was on the doughy side although I think part of that was due to the ride back home in the pizza boxes. Overall I strongly recommend and would eat here again

Great hidden gem in London. It’s off the beaten path and away from the main footfall in the De Beauvoir neighbourhood. I’ve been to a lot of pizza places in London and I believe it’s one of the best ones! They’ve got an outdoor area to eat, but it can be quite busy as it’s in front of the restaurant. If you’re looking for a pizza joint that does the basics well then this is the spot! Giving Sweet Thursday’s 4 stars as I think the prices are a bit high, however, the taste is great! They seem to be packed almost every day of the week and they’ve got lots of regulars doing take-away. Great for groups as well!

Great little family spot with character in De Beauvoir, Sweet Tuesday features a wood fired oven, perfectly seasoned pizza dough, a colorful dining room and a neighborhood-y green backyard, This is an easy going, family friendly and tasty pizza joint with a good wood fired crust going for it. Basics include a decent house red, nice pizza and a pepper rocket green mixed salad. Also features long tables for a casual meal, oh, and gelato! This is not destination dining, but the pizza here is well crafted and tasty. If you live nearby in Islington, this may turn into one of your local favorite pizza joints.

Good casual neighborhood spot for pizza. The pizza is stone oven baked, size is good, great crust/dough that is thin with slight chewiness. Toppings are well topped but what bothers me is when I order the Bufalotta, which is topped w/fresh tomato, buffalo mozzarella, and basil… the basil is nearly non existent. They put on about 3 small leaves for the whole pizza. Otherwise, they’re pretty good. I think the pizzas are a bit overpriced, but it’s tasty pizza and location is convenient so guess I’m paying for that. They have a wine area to buy a bottle but what I think is a rip off is that they still charge a cork fee when you buy their bottle. The staff is nice and restaurant is spacious and not loud. It’s a very chill spot and good for groups. *Came here again recently and ordered the Bufalotta pizza again. The pizza was better made than before as the cheese wasn’t completely melted and looked fresher, as opposed to before it was complete sogginess.
