My mum fancied sushi, and this is usually our regular joint, especially for the buffet which at £15.80 it’s not too bad if you’re really hungry. If not then I suggest the Al la carte value is better(they usually have half price during lunch) and you don’t feel the need to over stuff your face. I love the tempura prawns and oysters and the salmon sashimi is fresh and tasty, you can order up to three portion per person. So as I said if you’re really hungry the value is second to none. I prefer this buffet place over others as they have a better cooked and soup selection which most others don’t have. Service is good, was a tad slow today as they were packed out! The only criticism I have is location parking on the weekends is so hard to find and I parked for 3 hours for omg £6.00 for Golders Green? That’s a tad much. There is free parking at bank holidays so maybe plan your trip around that?

I love this place but I’m going to start off with a warning for those of you up for a sushi buffet challenge. or perhaps I should say tips… yeah let’s say tips. I visited this establishment on a friday night but if you plan to come here hungry and up for some serious eating, you will be disappointed. The time it took for each dish to make it’s way to our table(eventually I’d gotten into the habit of perking up every time a waitress walks out of the kitchen with what looks to be our food… but turns out not to be) was loooonnnnggg. I’ve been here a few good times before but on that occasion it took seriously forever especially as we had the table for only an hour and a half, which is meagre really for a place that serves a la carte food that has to be cooked, prepped and delivered. It’s worth noting that it was after all a friday night(I had booked in advance to secure a table) and the place was fully seated. That’s a good sign but that meant our requests were not met and had to be chased up on eg reminding the waitresses to bring our drinks and the menu over. So for that reason a star is lost. So if anyone ever plans to visit, make sure you choose a day where it wouldn’t be so busy. Like a weekday evening perhaps. That aside, this place serves some amazing fresh. quality food! Not only do they serve sushi, but also hot stuff too! You’re talking noodles, rice, tempura! The choices are spread over two sides of an A4 sheet of paper. The selection is amazingly huge compared to the ones in central London. And the ones in London limit your quantity amount. Sure, sushimania does too but to a reasonable extent eg with the salmon sashimi you can only order 3 rounds of salmon. Even so, in the end, we had a massive massive plateful delivered to us. It was so beautiful! Like goldfishes swimming on the plate. The sashimi was fresh(although quite cold as it came straight out of the fridge, like slithers of cold meat) I had such glee calculating how much money we saved. Yes you can order this stuff as a normal menu so I would note the price we would’ve paid and compare it to the amount we did pay… and its amazing knowing how much money we saved by eating as much as we can for a teeny tiny £15.80! The menu itself also houses some special sushi for a little extra dosh. It’s totally worth it if you decide to steer slightly off course from the ‘included in the price’ sushi. One of the recommended dishes to try is Miso Black Cod. It’s Heavenly! :D Another tip is going in as big a group as possible. Reasons would be that some sushi are served with a minimum of say 5 pieces which means to a table of 2 people they have to eat 2 – 3 pieces of that one item whereas a table of 5 would eat one each meaning more space to try other foods. Yar yar you get it? ;-) Unless of course you are happy to eat loads of the same foods then by all means, go ahead. Also its super impressive when a huge plate ladened with food arrives and its totally picture worthy! The bigger the better I say. When it gets busy, its impossible to pig out but on a quiet day you can truly have a sushimania experience whilst sampling many of what the menu offers. To this day, it still remains the best sushi place I’ve ever been to and it would be hard to top it, price wise, option wise and quality wise.

One of the few all you can eat sushi noteworthy in London as quality and variety of food. I had oyster tempura and I was really impressive. I love sushi and most of time that I was here I always left satisfy. Sometimes the service is not the best but probably they realised this and this evening the staff was friendly and smiley. Really great place. Good balance between price and quality. Again, So far the second all you can eat sushi restaurant noteworthy in London.

This restaurant has a very apt name; it offers sushi buffet for £15.80 per person with a great selection to order from, which means that you are bound to go sushi crazy as soon as you go in. Although I only ate with one other person, in true honour of the name, we went sushi crazy by eating 18 dishes between us. To give you a true reflection of the quality of the food, I believe that only 1 of those 18 dishes could have been improved(and even that one wasn’t that bad), which means that over 94% of the food was already perfect and meanwhile the variety of complimentary dips was also delightful. Please beware that you should try to make a reservation before coming here as the restaurant is often full-to-the-brim. The dishes in particular that I would recommend are prawn katsumi, salmon teriyaki, seaweed salad and mixed pickles.

Unlike most buffet where they fork out cheap, over cooked and poor quality food, Sushimania has a different concept. All you can eat but good quality food in 2 hours. The only difference is that you must finish what you ordered as wastage is not allowed or you’ll be paying the full price. Brilliant! Excellent customer services. Made to order sushi & all kinds of dishes. The sashimi was at their freshest you could get. It is definitely value for money.

Poor service! My friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner today. The manager suddenly came to us and ask us to finish our meal in 5 – 10 minutes when we was still eating just because they needed table for new customers(The fact is each customer have the right to eat as much as they can in two hours, but we only spent one and half hour. The staff didn’t tell us that we need to finish the dinner in one and half hour in advance as well. I felt that they don’t know how to serve the customers and they even didn’t respect customers. In addition, they always served the wrong dishes to us that we had never ordered and forgot to serve the food what we have ordered. The quality of the food is poor, for example, they serve us salad without any sauce and the Soup noodle is too salty . We leave Sushi mania in very bad mood and we decided never come back again. If you want to try the bad service you ever had in London, just go to Sushimania.

I went to the restaurant at Golders Green this evening with my friend for dinner. And we were very disappointed. Firstly, one dish we ordered did not come until we talked with their staff. Seemed that there was a mistake when they placed the order at the kitchen. Secondly, and similarly, they brought up one dish we did not order at all. Thirdly, there was no sauce at all in a salad we ordered. Fourthly, during the meal there we were always waiting for our food with the table empty. Their serving and cooking team were really slow today. We have been to this place quite a few times and this never happened. Lastly but not leastly, the restaurant staff told us to leave 30 minutes before we finish our 2 hours because another group of reserved customers were coming. I understand they can be very busy on Saturday nights. But none of their staff told us to finish our meal earlier before we sat down. Then we were told to leave in 10 minutes while we were still eating. It is their job to arrange everything smoothly and they should inform customers beforehand if they need them to finish at a certain time. In a word, we were both very disappointed and will not come again. It did not worth the money and all the travel we did to go to the restaurant.

I came to Sushi Mania for its buffet menu, I already came once before but decided to give it a second chance because the quality of the food is not bad. Quality and price of the food pretty much is on the same level as HiSushi which is down the road. I had a problem with service both times I was at the restaurant. They just always seem to be understaffed but with not that many jobs to do. The first time I came they seem to be really understaffed which the manager and one other waitress having to do all the work. The second visit there was three waitresses but they still seemed to be useless. One waitress was ok, she seemed like the manager. The other two waitresses seem to follow each other to the kitchen all the time. I tried to chase up two dishes which didn’t arrive for 30 mins from one waitresses and she seemed to walk off to the kitchen and forget what I had asked her because she never came back to me. I asked a second waitress who then brought the two dishes out to me immediately. When I declined to pay service charge, one of the useless waitresses explained that«…you have to pay the service because it says so you get me.» Not going back there again.

Really not a bad deal if you get the half off menu. that’s about all I can say. It’s ok.

We go here quite often — though certain things can be improved. The service is not attentive. They’re very attentive about a 1.5 hour time limit on the buffet though. My wife went there and waited 15 minutes for all her friends to arrive. One hour 15 minutes later they were kicked out! It’s such a shame because they have more range of food than Hi-sushi, although Hi-sushi has better sashimi. If you like a wider range of Japanese food than sashimi and sushi then it’s a good place to go. Just be prepared to fight for service. I don’t know why waiters in so many restaurants are experts in avoiding eye contact.

Just had lunch here. Half price on the regular menu m-f 12 – 3. Awesome deal and fantastic food. My wife and I had a total bill of 18.50. Four different kinds of rolls, sashimi and Edemame. Great!
