Nothing wrong with this Starbucks. Bathrooms are accessible, layout is reasonable, staff is friendly. It won’t blow you away but probably won’t let you down either, and the big front window makes for good people-​watching on Notting Hill Gate.

I never really understood why people needed a hot drink from their local coffee shop to start their day, until three years ago when my friend got me hooked on hot chocolate with cream. Now I find myself not being able to start the weekday without one. As a regular, the people that work here see me in the queue and have my drink ready by the time I reach the till (ok, I’m not adventurous enough to try anything else). The staff are soo lovely/​friendly and the hot chocolate superb (blows Nero’s out of the water), and when I fancy a treat they have a selection of my favourites; blueberry muffin, apple & cinnamon muffin or carrot cake — yummy :-)
