This shop hasn’t been my regular stop at local shopping until today. Everything has changed.
Getting a decent perfume locally was unimaginable. But then I remembered this shop stores some luxurious cosmetics. So thank you Diptyque perfumes.
The Sales Assistant who took care of me after few minutes of browsing, showed me exactly what I was asking for. Not more not less. No pushing, but still attentive enough! Then helped me to decide as well. This relaxed, friendly attitude totally got me.
They stock some really nice products from several different French perfumers, natural/​organic cosmetics and luxurious cosmetics and make up. The shop really offers anything a fully grown woman (and a man) could need from a beauty department!

My beauty haven!!! Staff are very helpful and genuine, with a vast knowledge of every single beauty product available… Space NK house hard to find products that are not available in most stores. Products from Aromatherapy Associates, best smelling creams and candles known to man & wrinkle battering ointments to the most stunning perfumes, also not readily available in most stores.
Just perfect! If only I had more money!

Space NK is such a treat. All clean lines, shiny surfaces and masses of beauty products, it’s what most girls call ‘Heaven’. It’s such a refreshing variation to the usual make-​up-​shopping-​in-​Department-​Stores pain, with the usually robotic staff who give you death stares if God forbid you try something and don’t buy.
Space NK is very different — staff are relaxed, happy to help, but also happy if you don’t buy anything. And there stock some stellar brands. AND they had my favourite Nars red lipstick in ‘Heatwave’ IN STOCK! Usually I have to go on a crazy wait-list…Magic!

On Upper Street in Islington, home to the chattering classes, lies one of my favourite cosmetics shops, Space NK. I usually visit the Liverpool Street branch but pop into the Upper Street store occasionally as it’s altogether quieter and the staff are just as helpful.
Stocking makeup by Laura Mercier and NARS, Space NK is a must for those who like their beauty brands of the luxury variety but balk at the experience of department store shopping. The Islington Space NK is rather smaller than some of this chain’s other branches but don’t let this put you off. This is one of the only stores in London where staff are routinely helpful and welcoming and that, in my book, is priceless.
