When you approach this shop you might feel disappointed — «it’s not a clothes shop at all», you think, «it’s a hairdressers!» Ah, no, friends, you are so wrong. To get to this wonderful, tiny little second hand shop you need to go into the hairdressers and then take the steep, spiral staircase on your left. There are always manikins and shoes on display in the hairdresser’s window so once you’ve spotted it, it’s pretty self explanatory how to get in there. Having held on tightly to the metal frame of the staircase you will find yourself ducking your head as you enter this little den-like shop, whilst your eyes start darting all over the place at all the different clothes surrounding you. The lady who runs this shop has always been really friendly and if you’re a bit peckish she has a tin of Quality Street ready and waiting. The stock varies week to week, depending on when items come in. Some are second hand, others are sent in «straight from the catwalk» and the rest are rejects from the fashion world. Prices are always low in both senses — low for what you’re buying and low for the average unemployed actor like me! My only fault with it is that it’s hit and miss, really — you might turn up one day and there’s nothing there that you like, whereas a few days later you might come out having spent hundreds. Or you might just be lucky and find a beautiful coat in your size for £50. Go and check it out!
