Walked by this place on a misty London night(what misty in London ??) order the Scottish salmon, grilled 1 £ surcharge and fried prawns. Chips came with meal. The seating is basic, bright and clean. Fresh fish offerings as well the fish and chips. Service friendly and wee bit hectic. My salmon was over cooked. But there was plenty of it. The prawns were huge with a tasty batter.

Great fish and chips in the fish bar. The fish was moist in the middle and cooked to perfection with a werry crispy shell around. The chips was a bit soft en the shell but tastet great…

«London’s best fish and chips» Not Cod was very dense and stiff. Skate is not great deep fried, very mushy and soft. was my mistake to be too adventurous. Just not the quality for what they charge. But the waiter was nice. Londoner avoid

I was staying right down the street from this restaurant. Figured if I’m in England I gotta try fish and chips. It was way more than I expected. Fresh fish and excellent service. What more can you ask for.

Fish and chips — 4.5 stars. Very tasty. Perfectly done. I devoured everything. The teens had roasted chicken. Really tasty, perfectly done. Four stars. Beer was good. Only two on tap. The bitter was nice with the fish and chips. Three stars. This is not a fish and chips and beer pub. Atmosphere — three stars. Friendly, nice, open, lots of space. Nothing spectacular… didn’t feel really British, which as US visitors, we were looking for, but not a negative. Good place. Price — high! We dropped 85 pounds for two roasted chickens, two F&C and two beers! I like the place a lot, but that price tag really hurt!

This sounds silly but the reason why it’s a no-brainer for me to go back to London later this year for another NFL game when I’m not even a fan is because of Seafresh! A local recommended this place who told us that the best fish and chips can be found at a «chippy» — such as Seafresh(«If you find yourself at a nice, restaurant… you’re in the WRONG place!»). Seafresh serves huge portions of perfectly fried, thick and juicy fish coated in a thin crispy batter… you can actually taste the fish! Not only was the food superb, the people behind the counter were so friendly. Visited: October 2014 and October 2015(had to!)

Thought the reviews oversold this place a little bit. We weren’t that impressed. The restaurant prices were ridiculously higher than the take out prices. The fish and chips lunch price offer was good but… We ordered the haddock and our friends ordered the cod. The cod was absolutely tiny and the haddock was huge. For the same price. Not too impressed. The chips were really good and saved the day, proper fish and chip shop chips! Probably won’t be coming here again.

Found this fish & chips shop when looking for a nice bite near Victoria train station. Was excited by the Unilocal reviews, but upon sitting down in the restaurant realized that the dine-in prices were WAY higher than for take out. Was ready to spend 7 or 8 quid on fish & chips and when I sat down and read the menu, I realized it was going to set me back about £13! This is a huge difference and I would almost certainly order at the counter and take out next time. They even have a few stools and a narrow table along the front window where you can eat your take out. Happy to enjoy full table service, I decided on the Fish & Chips set menu: a medium cod or haddock, chips, peas, and bread and butter for £12.90. Not too bad. Plus it came with fruit or 2 scoops of ice cream and coffee or tea. Pretty good value and loads of food! I tried the haddock and a friend got the cod. We both got the same set menu, so it was strange when the plates came out and the haddock was almost twice the size as the cod. That being said, the cod definitely tasted better, with a nice flaky texture. The haddock was just bland and needed tons of salt to taste like anything at all. Even with the smaller piece of cod, it was enough food to fill your belly. Service was very good and friendly. 10% service change was automatically added to the bill. Next time, I’ll order the cod and get it to go!

Exceptional food and service. A must visit in London. Lucky for us it was just around the corner from our hotel

This review is for takeout. The fish was pretty good, light batter and fluffy, but for takeout I’m pretty sure they put it directly from the fryer into butcher paper — it was so oily and got a little soggy on the 10 minute walk home. Favorite was the cod, followed by the haddock. Wouldn’t get skate again. Chips were just ok, would skip them next time(HUGE portions).

Excellent fish and chips. Coworker was dead set on coming here as it has been highly recommended to him by a friend. I’m glad that we braved walk in the rain for this place — it was completely worth it(thank you, tube strike 2014). When the food came, it was a pleasant surprise. First of all — it smelled good. Radiant, really. Makes you want to eat it before eating it kind of maddening scent. Crunchy and flaky on the outside but moist on the inside when you bite into it. How is this possible? I don’t know… magic, probably.

I found Seafresh through a top 10 fish & chips list for London. It was my first experience with fish & chips in London! And it was okay. When asked what we should order, the server said the cod is the most popular, and the haddock is also good if we want a «different taste.» Well, I feel like the cod is popular because it’s a standard… but it was a mistake to order it. Go for the haddock! It’s a lot better. Got the fish and chips, dessert, and tea special, and that was it. My first fish & chips experience. It was everything I expected: fish fried just right, but average taste. Remember the haddoockkkkk.

Essentially a traditional fish and chips with take-out and restaurant… but also does ‘proper’ fish grilled at fancy plaice prices. My haddock managed to be both dry and watery at the same time — will stick with the battered stuff next time, if at all…

Tempura style fish and chips. Hot hot hot. Flaky and delicious. Best to eat in the restaurant. Absolutely the best fish and chips in London.

We got the cod fish and chips and the fish soup. The cod was extra fluffy and the batter was nice and crispy and light. I liked it… but the sauce it came with really didn’t have much flavor. I think the chips could have been a bit more crispy, but I guess that’s a bit hard when you have thick cut ones. The soup had a very interesting flavor. Not bad… just a flavor we’ve never had before. We were all able to drink it but were a bit confused on what we were drinking. My dad liked the fact that they had draft beer.

Excellent fish and chips. I got cod, and it was perfectly cooked. The fish was flaky, the batter was not too thick and cooked just right. Tartar sauce was good. For a starter, I got prawns in fillo dough, which wasn’t quite what I expected: it was more of a Chinese food style batter than fillo dough. They were delicious as well. The staff was very polite and pleasant. The place has the ambience of an nice, but not upscale, chippy. I could peek into the kitchen and see a pretty chef, in chef clothing. That’s a plus.

Pimlico chippy, Seafresh Seafresh?! After reading the reviews, I was expecting better, yes. You can get the nitty gritty deets from the other Unilocal crew. But let me just tell you what I thought of the service and food. THEGOOD: Very pleasant staff, cordial and nice I was greeted straight away, no ‘tude no krazee eyes Had so much hope for the place, thought it would be fly But I felt like my trip was a waste of time. THEBAD: Looked at the menu and ordered the number one Cod and chips with bread and a drink of choice, done and done. Looked at the eat in prices and nearly tripped my wallet imploded, bank account exploded and I did a backflip THEUGLY: I was starving, but took it to go Began dining immediately when I reached home But sadly nothing could save this grand fish dish It could not be resuscitated, limp, lifeless, tasteless and boy, oh boy i hate to say it, but felt like I was chewing on a rubber toy. and in it, I found three bones! Terrified, I screamed like that kid in the scene of Home Alone My bread was okay, it was pre-buttered For which I am grateful, I’m no diet nutter The fries tasted processed instead of fresh cut To save them, a hearty dumping of ketchup. I know I’m outta line. But the best part of my meal was the Heinz.

I was really impressed with this place. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. I also liked the somewhat unusual lunch deal they had: fish and chips accompanied by a cup of tea and then followed by ice cream. The staff were friendly and quick to serve. I’d definitely go back.

Wonderful fish and chips that are wayyyyyyyy over priced: a medium haddock with chips will run you 7.5 pds! Get the combo meal, it is plenty big for a meal and a solid value at 5 pds, with soft drink. Ketchup, tartar sauce etc will run you between 20 and 60 pence per pouch, which is insane. Also, be sure to check your order, because the counter woman has a tendency to «forget» to ad extras in. She will greet you with an Asian accented«You here for some fish, big boy?» that is worth a quid on its own. Ive only visited the a la carte side, the sit down looks to be a proper rip off.

Had to get me some authentic fish and chips, and thankfully Cheap Eats promised us some very close to our B&B. I had a nice hunk of cod and a Carlsberg lager on tap. The breading was so light and airy — must have been fried REALLY hot in some extra clean oil. It was great! Martin had the Rockfish, and his was huge. He did manage to eat it all. He said the quality was quite good, and those fryers knew what they were doing.
