Roman Road Art Cafe

The Roman Art Café is owned by a very nice Polish woman, who has created a small piece of British heaven in the some what run down part of East end London.
Here we were welcomed with a smile and open mind. The tea, coffe and food were wholesome and good. Nothing to shout about, but definitly good.
The décor is modern and young and you can buy the art on the wall if you should so fancy.
I loved it.

Fantastic little breakfast joint! In fact they do great lunch and other things too but the spread they put on for my and my girlfriend was fantastic. Never have I even seen so much food on a plate than at this joint!
Coffee was good and the staff were friendly! Roman road is getting good!

I’ve been coming to the newly opened Roman Road Art Café regularly for the last 9 months and it’s now become my home from home. I love everything about the place — the family that own it are friendly, kind and always give me a warm welcome (and know all my possible order permutations!). They have a hidden garden out the back which is great in summer and for smokers. The food is excellent with particularly generous portions, my personal faves are the Eggs Florentine or Benedict and they also do a Polish breakfast. There’s frequently freshly made bakery produce and the coffee’s always good. They’ve also recently started displaying art from local artists, and do have occasional evening events — check the signs in the window.
