Loved this place. Great garlic bread and wonderful French toast. Would recommend for sure.

We couldn’t get into nearby Fortnum & Mason’s so ended up at this tourist trap. Paid £10.50 for a meagre selection of stale finger sandwiches and £3.50 for a pot of mediocre mint tea which was plonked on the table by a surly staff member with poor English. My friend had scones which which better, but still overpriced. Avoid.

A really good black coffee, the afternoon tea is not bad. A nice selection of pastries and cakes, you will always find something different to have.

For some reason, when I «Checked In» to do a review of this restaurant, it put 4 stars by my remarks about how it is awful and overpriced. The French Onion soup was watery, the garlic/cheese bread and Chicken Risotto were too greasy to eat(the photos are what was LEFT on our plates!) and the«Special» of Beef Stroganoff was tasteless, also greasy, and cost 16.50 pounds sterling. The hostess was surly, and there was just one, very over-worked waitress for the front of the restaurant, including the outside tables. At those prices, we could have fared much better elsewhere.

I was very disappointed with Richoux this time around. I went for Saturday morning breakfast and was greeted with an unenthusiastic shrug from a tired-looking waiter. I waited for ten minutes before he decided to take my order, a latte and a ham and cheese omelette. The latte was fine. The omelette, however, took at least 20 minutes to arrive, was tepid and was accompanied by maybe the worst toast I have had in my adult life. It was cold and had the consistency of packing material. It actually hurt to chew it, even with butter and preserves. This place is not inexpensive, so this was especially unforgivable. A total rip-off. Spend your money elsewhere.

Good place to have your breakfast and read the morning news. It’s elegant, quiet and not so expensive.

As good as the restaurant in Piccadilly. My enduring memeory from this Richoux is it’s breakfasts where are truly tasty and wonderul. I have never seen an English Breakfast cooked so well and with so much taste(minus any fat etc). Of course you have to try the pastries and their chocolates.
