A Polish specialty shop recently added to Camden High Street and a welcomed reprieve from the chippies and the cheap discount outlets. They carry fresh and frozen Polish delicacies(including the bizarrely difficult to find fresh pirogi) and also have a butcher’s counter in the back. If you’re feeling adventurous enough to try goulash or stroganoff, you can buy the means in a jar for less than £2. Plus they carry standard things you can find in the supermarkets, though you’d be pressed to find a comparable sour cream at Sainsbury’s. If you’ve got time to sit in, there’s a coffee shop in the lower ground floor selling sweet and savoury treats and offering free wi-fi.
