Amazing selection of just the best pies. Relaxed atmosphere, though you can also get take out(well packaged) and sit by the Thames. Other comments mention the service being slow. I’d say it’s more that you don’t feel rushed. Service is very quick for take out.

Food is WAY too salty and could be so much better. Really a disappointment for the price. Service is just alright, super slow on the day I visited. Cheese board is also a let down. Overall, my Putney pies experience wasn’t great. Definitely go look for somewhere else in the area if you want a lovely meal.

Really lives up to its slogan. The salami and venison pie was truly the best I’ve eaten. I’d recommend Putney pies to anyone. Has def become one of my favourite restaurants. They have a good selection of beers too.

Been eyeing up this place for a while so finally came down here for lunch today. My boyfriend and I both ordered the special steak and stilton pie with a side of broccoli cheese. Thought it was a little over priced compared to the more traditional pie and mash places but this place seemed a little more up market and meals looked big. They have a huge menu here with lots of options and states on the menu that the pies are made to order. Waited about 20mins and our pies came out looking golden and delicious. I began to eat only to find my pie was cold in the middle. The waitress(which looked like the manager/owner) was happy to get me a new meal. I was left waiting for another 20mins with no update while my boyfriend tucked in to his delicious hot pie. I finally asked again and it came out, this time it was like warm… I was so over it and disappointed. I wasn’t going to eat anything not heated properly so we decided to leave. Considerately the waitress didn’t charge us for anything as she could see how annoyed I was. She seemed quite fed up too and wasn’t that apologetic. I am definitely not going back here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone! Borough Markets steak and stilton pie is still champ to me.
