Prawnography is located on Burger Bear’s Magic Roundabout, on top of Old Street station. The entrance can be a little hard to find, but just look for a door inside the station. With Prawnograph’s neighbour Burger Bear still doing the best burger in London, it’s difficult to not end up eating there all the time, but Prawnography is great if you want something a bit lighter. So far, I’ve tried the massive tiger prawn and the crayfish toastie. Both were excellent. The chips served with spiced salt are also great. I’m yet to try the spider crab, which is huge, so I’ll update my review when I do. The outdoor setting is great, especially in the summer, and there’s a bar that does a good selection of beer(Fourpure and Meantime pale ale etc).

Epic place for prawn and crab. £14 for tiger prawn with fries and bread. £22 for a whole brown crab. Both were cooked perfectly, grilled. The crab was huge and they gave us a mallet to break it down. If you like getting stuck in with your hands when eating crab then this spot. If you like to stay clean… Bring a friend who loves breaking crab shells with you.
