Best pizza in London. No contest. I come several times when I visit. They use actual Caputo flour and san marzano tomatoes with the proper oven. The staff is lovely and the bufala is divine.

Occasion: this place is great for groups of two or three. Good Location: It’s in the heart of Soho. Great Pizza: fresh, tasty but not the biggest variety of flavours. I was a bit stuck on which to choose… Desserts: very yummy but the salted ricotta and nutella ring was lots of dough again. Affordable: pizzas were all if not one less than £10 but compared to Franco Manca which are on average £6.75 it may be less value for money Service: excellent and made the experience very enjoyable. Ross and Paul served us well.

I loved this pizza the first time I went. I had the pizza with fennel sausage, broccoli, fior di latte cheese, parmesan and basil and it was tasty stuff! However, since having Franco manca pizza and Homeslice I would choose those over Pizza Pilgrim. I prefer the dough and the toppings are a little more generous I think. Also the second time we went we received poor service meaning one of our group didn’t get his pizza until we had all finished ours, and it was plonked on the table without a word. Rude! But they didn’t charge us for that pizza in the end which was better than nothing!

Having seen the founders on the Food Network channel demonstrating various ways of topping a pizza, I was keen to try one of theirs. I ordered the Marinara and I wasn’t disappointed! It was fresh, simple but delicious. I haven’t had time to go back but I’m looking forward to my next visit. I spent the summer in Abruzzo, Italy and had a local pizza bianca topped with potatoes and fresh rosemary, could you please add that to your menu?

The delivery time is the best thing I like about Pizza Pilgrims. Whenever, I am around, I love to visit them. Further, when I have to take quick bite and again like to visit the place. By now, I have eaten 24 times(mostly with friends).

Small and rustic Neaple style pizza place. Their pizzas are top class. One of the best in London. It gets very busy during peak hours

First night in London and we stumbled across this quaint little pizza place after walking around the shops at Liberty. We ordered two — a Filetti and a Marg(personally preferred the Marg hence the lack of photo as I tucked straight into it) and the crusts were probably the top five best I’ve ever had in my life. Along with the great chewy, soft crust the pizza itself had nice tangy sauce, soggy center, milky mozzarella — all the qualities one would come to expect in a great Naples style pizza. No slices so be prepared to use your fork/knife skills which is how Neapolitan styled pizzas should be eaten anyways. I’m seeing a lot of comparison to this and NY style pizza. Apples and oranges, folks.

Tasty pizza. Margherita was my choice, together with white rosemary and garlic white pizza! Good attendance in a fabulous place.

This pizza is one of my favorites in London. There’s usually a queue, but it’s often worth it. They are fire cooked pizzas with tomato sauce that makes my mouth smile. I highly recommend this spot to any pizza lover(and who doesn’t love pizza).

Fresh and tasty pizza? This is the place. I pre-order one for lunch online and paid online, then pick it up at the shop whilst watching them cook it in the pizza oven and then they slice it into quarters. By the third slice I was so happy and full that I enter into food coma. Remaining slice became next day’s breakfast. Cheerful staff. Happy customer. My order was for a Smoked Napoli £8.00 Margherita with smoked anchovies, black olives, capers & oregano. Delicious. PS: You can takeaway or sit in. There is also a downstairs seating area.

Hands down the best pizza in London — and it beats some Italian pizzas, too. It has the Italian’s seal of approval! The mushroom pizza and even just their margheritas rock. And don’t get me started on that Nutella ring.

While everyone raves about this place, I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s the *best* pizza in London, but it does come pretty close. We tried out the Kingly Courty branch on Carnaby St as we figured it would be a little easier to grab a table, thankfully despite it being around 7pm we were seated straight away. The menu has a lot of great options, ranging from plain margaritas to more creatively topped pizzas I can’t begin to pronounce. They have toppings for both veggies and meat lovers, and seemed happy to make any amendments(within reason) to the toppings for you — I’m no fan of goats cheese and they made sure not to add it for me. The pizzas are great value for money, come out of the oven piping hot with cheese so melted it turns into string when you tug the slices away. The only thing that I felt did let it down was how sloppy it was — I’m a big ‘eat pizza with your hands’ kind of girl, preferring to cut it into slices, but I had to fold the slice in half to be able to eat it without all the topping sliding off onto the plate.

This places does pizza well. Napoli style so it’s not a crispy base; like NY pizzas but softer so you can fold it or use a knife and fork. What this place excels at is the pizzas that have the tomato base sauce. It’s very good and makes a hero of this ingredient. It’s up there with Franco Manca for London pizzas.

How they manage to burn the pizza base while at the same time creating soggy limp pizza defies the laws of chemistry. Horrible pizza– give it a miss

Great pizza, but skip the dessert! I came here as a group of 10 for a co-workers birthday. We were seated downstairs in a separate room off the main restaurant. The restaurant sounded quite loud so it was nice to be a little more secluded away from the main dining area. I ordered the ‘aubergine parmigiana’. The dough was soft and squidgy, whilst still being thin-crust. I really enjoyed the fluffy consistency of it– I preferred it to the super thin and crispy base that you often find at London pizza restaurants. The toppings were also really tasty and flavourful. The one thing I might criticize is that the pizza was a little oily in the middle. The servers brought us chilli oil and chilli flakes to accompany the pizza. To finish, I had the espresso with nutella, which was quite tasty. but then again anything with nutella is gonna be good. right?! Other’s in the group had the affogato. The ice-cream came in a tub making it a little difficult for them to pour the espresso on top! I tried some of the nutella and salted ricotta pizza ring. I have to say I was a bit disappointed– there was no where near enough filling and where the nutella had been baked it had become a bit dry. Boo. Overall we had a really enjoyable meal, with very attentive service. It was also very affordable for Soho, at about £18 per head for dinner, drinks and dessert. Our limit on the table was 2 hours, but as the service was so good, we finished with time to spare. I will definitely be back– but just for the pizza! Oh and this place was packed on a weekday evening! So be prepared to wait. Alternatively, if you are a group of 8 or more like we were, you can pre-book the separate room downstairs!

I’m usually faithful to Franco Manca: they do very good pizza at a very reasonable price, have lovely staff etc etc. I thought there couldn’t be any better pizza in London. But yesterday I might have cheated on them with Pizza Pilgrims and(I can’t believe I’m writing that) in was even better. The main difference for me lays mainly in the atmosphere(who can resist a well-curated pop/rock playlist?) and the dough, which is slightly more chewy at Pizza Pilgrims and totally won me over. Can be a bit of a hassle to get a table though, but with the sun coming up more and more often, I can already tell you there’ll be many pizza picnics in my summer life!

I’ve wanted to try Pizza Pilgrims for aaaaages but just never end up choosing pizza if I’m going out for dinner. My bf and I had just finished a round of crazy golf at Swingers and were starving! The two pop ups Swingers had in the venue for that month were The Bowler or Pizza Pilgrims(resident) Now I also really wanted to try the bowler however pizza or meatballs wins for me so my bf and I both shared a pizza! The choice was of only two unlike the soho restaurants We went for the nduja sausage one and myyyy was it good! Dough good sauce good cheese good sausage good! Yum! I hear they do takeaway so will pick this over dominoes any day!

LOVE Pizza Pilgrims — it’s the only place I go to when I’m craving pizza now! I spent nearly 2 years living in Italy and whilst no English pizza can really compare — Pizza Pilgrim is my top London place for delicious fresh tasting pizza with a thin enough but doughy enough base. I’ve had so many different types of pizza here — I love that they have a guest pizza so I can always have something different — I’ve yet to ever try dessert here because I’m always so full by the end of it! Prices are really affordable and it’s décor downstairs is cute and clean. In the summer they even have outdoor seating — really a gem in the heart of soho.

Pizza Pilgrims is a little gem on Dean Street. Not far from tourists on Oxford Street, yet always packed with locals. I agree: Their pizzas are really good. Not the best, but good. The dough is based on sourdough. I like these types, so I find Pizza Pilgrims to be good. Finally the Nduja sausage was really good. Spicy, creamy and spot on. I missed a little more flavor in the pizza — and it became a little boring after a while. With that said, the pizzas here are a bargain.
