Rude staff. Give it a pass. Went there with friends, showed up at 10:59, bouncer turned away from us until 11:01 so we had to pay the ridiculous fee of £10. Also ping pong tables are crowded and sticky from alcohol. I have some advice: get some ping pong balls and some cheap alcohol and set up your own party.

Ping is a nice place to come with a group of friends to have dinner/lunch and play ping pong. There are four ping pong tables but there is not much room. Each table are quite closely together and not much room to move around. The restaurant serves a range of pizza which I thought was not bad with various topping to suit all kind of tastebuds. As it was a birthday party we had sharing size pizza. — Sao Paulo pizza consist of chicken and pancetta. This was the one pizza I found the most salty and my least favourite. — Porchetta pizza consist of roast pork, smoked blue cheese and cherry tomatoes. This was my favourite pizza out of the three we had that evening. — Sicilian was a vegetarian pizza, consisting roasted mixed peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Ping has a bar where they serve a range of drink, including various cocktails. But the cocktail I thought was pricey.

Super fun place, but way too crowded except in the front area! We had a company event here in the back room. Service was outstanding. With 2 ping pong tables in the private room, it got incredibly packed for 25 people or so. So packed that it made it uncomfortable. There is also NOTV in the room, so how do you watch the World Cup? The pizza here is not bad. Nothing special, but gets the job done. I’d recommend you avoid traditional drinks like old fashioned, since it does not taste nearly as good as other places. This is the type of place you’d bring some buddies to grab a few beers, eat a late night drink, and play some insane pong. I’d return here for some fun parties, but definitely not for a date.

Nice ambiance for a group, and a reservation is a must. It gets loud though, with absolutely no quiet corners. Tables are crowded — not the place for casual or serious games of pong — really just a minor quirk to an otherwise semi-decent underground club. Drinks are quite good, but very pricey, and the drink minimums at GBP20 per person is quite steep for the type of place that it is. Would go back for an occasion planned by someone else but not for kicks or of my own accord.

I ordered an espresso martini, and the bar tender told me that the espresso machine was broken. Then I ordered a drink that was described as an «alcoholic milkshake» on the menu, and I was told that the blender was broken too. The bar is located on the same block as an appliance store. Unacceptable!!!

Had a great night here celebrating a friend’s birthday. We booked a table for 10 in advance, and we ended up sharing a «pizza orgy» and a few beer towers for the night. Everything was awesome except when the American rugby team essentially stole our ping pong table! Can’t really blame Ping for that though. Also, TRYTHEYOGURTSAUCE with pita. Mouth-watering. Still thinking about it…

On a recent trip down south a friend of mine told me there was a bar that has ping pong tables. I love a bit of table tennis so suffice to say I got a bit over excited! But he sorted us out a booking and I got to live out my(admittedly quite unimaginative) dream! The bar itself is nice enough to look at — a quick look at the pics gives a decent impression of what you’re in for, although it felt like there was much less space than it looks like in the pics. The main thing space wise was the lack of space around the ping pong tables. They’re close together and there’s barely any room at either end to maneuver properly. However, it’s still ping pong in a bar, and with plenty of balls to make sure the inevitable drunkenly stood on balls are easily placed, as well as plenty of bats for some doubles action, it felt like when you’re on a table you’ll always be good to go. Now, we did only get half an hour, booked beforehand, despite being there for about 3 hours. However I didn’t book this so I can’t say if this was down to it being particularly busy(it was a Thursday night.) or the guy who booked it just booking half an hour. As well as ping pong, you can engage in a cheeky bit of beer pong, and for this you can buy a bucket of 6 bottles(330ml) along with the necessary cups, for £40. Yep — £40. As much as I’d have loved a game(and the people who did looked like they were having loads of fun), I really don’t want to pay £40 for 6 bottles and a few plastic cups. Aside from the fun on offer, the toilets were alright, but not of a massively clean standard(and one of those guys in there who tries to get you to give some money for a spray of smelly stuff, which I can’t stand), the drinks were ok, if expensive(to a lowly northerner anyway!), but the food did look good(I didn’t eat though). Previous reviews have mentioned rude staff, but I didn’t have much contact with them, aside from getting drinks, and they seemed fine for that. But it’s one of places that needs trying at some point just for something a bit different, even if it won’t blow your socks off.

Checked website, said we didn’t need to book, phoned and told didn’t need to book. Turned up at 830PM with group of 9 and told we couldn’t come in as they were too busy! Sneaky phone call on afterwards too check and the barman said they were not too busy. What gives. Was it because we were an older group? Terrible, what a total sham!

Table tennis and beer, best combination ever! Just how much of a draw can table tennis tables in the middle of a bar/restaurant be? Judging by the number of suits and the fight for priority every time a table becomes free, VERY! I think there is some kind of system to say who is up next, but just seemed like a bit of a scrum, treading on toes and just lurking until a group become too sweaty to carry on or their food table gets called. The beer selection is poor, only one available when we went, I imagine a brewery pays for the right to supply just that one beer but we were there more for the sport than the beer — although we did end up having quite a lot of the beer. The pizza was pretty good, that’s all we had, but the other food on offer looked pretty decent as they were bringing it out and all the tables were full, so judging by that it can’t be too bad. This is a great place for groups, and a place for a group to hang out in a bar and do something other than just get hammered. All very civilised and a fantastic concept, really hope it wasn’t just the post-Olympic fever that got people excited and it is actually a trend that will endure.
