Warm service, very high quality produce and expert advice from the master butchers. Highly recommended.

Some of the best rib-eye steaks I’ve ever bought, plus the Venison sausages were the talk of my BBQ!

This is now my local. I had two rib-eye steaks from here this week. They were melt in your mouth delicious. Just salt and pepper and a nice hot grill with butter made them perfect. I do compare this place to my favourite, HG Walter – the selection isn’t as great and they are not as outgoing to offer help.

Strange name, Parson’s Nose — some sort of derivation, I think, from the local tube stop, Parson’s Green and some sort of slang name for poultry — I assume from a time when parson’s had noses made for actual chickens. Things have moved on however and now they are swanky and up market butchers providing good cuts of meat, specializing in particular in providing food for dinner parties and the like. The quality is good and here they also double up as a bit of a café selling drinks and light food for locals. I guess it makes sense, they certainly source lots of fresh and free range meat so why not source free range and organic Coca-Cola, killed humanely after a very nice life in the country. They also sell lots of stuff in jars, jams, preserves, that sort of thing so I suppose a visit here can furnish the larder/cupboard/fridge with a fair few requirements and indulgences too.

This place must surely be one of the best butchers in London. It has the look and feel of a deli, you can buy cold and cured meats sandwiches and drinks, but do not be fooled. This is predominately a butchers, and the meat here is absolutely top drawer, it is all free range and whilst it is not cheap– you absolutely get what you pay for. Their aged steaks are awesome!
