This is a little way out from the center of Wandsworth, but its worth the extra walk. It sells beers from the Young’s range, Bombardier, Sambrooks, etc. There is a varied food menu, but a bit expensive. There is a patio at the back for summer days. This is one of Wadsworth’s better pubs.

Excellent community pub offering delicious home-cooked food and fine ales in a relaxed environment. The pub has a beer garden for the summer months and a fire indoors for wintertime. Very friendly and welcoming staff and special offer nights like 2 for 1 burgers and chicken wings plus there’s a weekly quiz. I went with friends for Sunday lunch and the food was hot and tasty. Be warned though, roasts sell out quickly so don’t leave it much later than 1pm. I found the football on the TV screens a little intrusive but if it brings the punters in and helps the pub to thrive then it’s a necessary evil.

This pub is very close to GJ’s and the Southside shopping centre. It looks a little less«funked-up» /sporty than GJ’s and has a completely relaxed vibe to it. I came in here with a friend one Sunday who kept ranting and raving about the food. The food was… OK. It’s typical pub food, you can get a meal for around a tenner and the pints are around £4 — same as any other place. It’s nice sitting by the fire place with friends in the winter, and the atmosphere is pretty cool but it’s not as great as The Jolly Gardener’s who do superb food and serve great, friendly pints.

The Old Sergeant is a great local pub situated halfway in between the centres of Earlsfield and Wandsworth. Almost immediately you realise that it’s a great place to watch the footie, rugby or cricket with mates, though the generally older clientele contributes to earlier closing times and requires slightly more dignified behaviour. As it is to be expected, a very English menu that epitomises the discernment of a British pub lunch, though some options can get quite pricey. My suggestion goes to the bangers and mash: it’s always fun to see what each different pub you visit makes of them. It’s suggested you call ahead on sport-heavy days to make sure the Old Sarge is broadcasting the game you want to see.
