100% authentic Japanese. I have been to many Japanese restaurants in London. Some are very good but expensive. Cheap ones taste rubbish. I came across this restaurant accidentally. I initially thought it was a kind of westernised noodle fast food restaurant. Then when I saw menu, the price was very reasonable. Tried sashimi, the salmon was fresh and wasabi was very genuine. Since then whenever I passed south Wimbledon. I would always have my lunch and diner there. The chef was also very friendly. After a few conversation, I found out he was working with sushi samba in City. So if you are looking for a delicious and best value for money Japanese restaurant. This one 100% is your choice.

I really wish I enjoyed the food Noodle Foodle more than I did, as it was very off-putting. We went before a show at 5:30pm, so we were the only customers there. The service was great — very attentive and friendly. The ambiance is nice — traditional Japanese with a modern style. The sushi menu is pretty impressive for London, lots of options for ‘California’ style rolls. Which was its saving grace: we ordered spicy tuna roll and tempura avocado roll, which were both delicious and well-presented. But everything else wasn’t very good. The miso soup was tasteless and not very warm — undrinkable. Edamane was alright without being great. The handroll we received was not what was ordered, and the seaweed was chewy with a bad flavour. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things for this place. However it’s close to where we live so we may go back to try again — where we’ll only will order rolls. They also deliver, which — as you know — I love!

Really nice Japanese place with a traditional feel, bench seating, curries, noodles, rice, sushi, huge portions, Japanese beers and nice staff. For starter we had Gyoza and spring rolls, these were a bit too oily /greasy but I’, alright with that so liked them. I had the Chilli Chicken yaki Soba which was lovely. «The Prawn» had Chicken Teriyaki Soba which was even better. Both were massive portions so we took them home to finish the next day. The place was really busy with people collecting takeaway orders, it’s clearly popular with the locals. I would recommend it for noodles and will go back for sushi.

After having had the chance to try more dishes, this is now my local go to sushi place. Special bento box for £13 contains: Miso soup 7 pieces of glistening sashimi — salmon, tuna plus whatever takes chef’s fancy 3 pieces of nigiri sushi — shrimp, salmon and 1 other 6 pieces of maki sushi — a combo of 3 different varieties Tempura — 2 prawns and assortment of vegetable As a separate order, I can recommend the deep fried tempura tofu which comes with a zingy pizuant sauce. Juices come freshly squeezed — you can see and hear them doing it Promoting it to 5 stars!
