Such a cute little shop, hidden away up a side road by Leicester Square. I set up a few meetings here as the reviews on Unilocal were great! I arrived and hadn’t actually realised how small it was — enough seating for 8 at a squeeze but I sat and enjoyed a good hours work whilst sipping on my hot chocolate which was deliciously sweet and creamy! The staff are super friendly and more than happy to help and talk you through their cake selection and drinks. You can tell it’s a favourite among coffee drinkers in the area as people are constantly coming in and out getting their mid afternoon fix. Definitely worth a pop in if you’re in the area :)

They have a really good cappuccino at this place. The espresso is very strong and not very bitter. What sets this place apart are their pastries. I tried a toffee macadamia nut cookie and a chocolate fudge brownie. The chocolate explosion in my mouth from the brownie bordered on obscene. I had to alternate between bites of brownie and bites of cookie to balance out the sweetness. I probably shouldn’t have eaten both of those things by myself. Seating inside is minimal, maybe 2 people at the bar and 2 groups of 4 can fit.

Friendly staff! But unfortunately bad coffee. I tried the soy latte and didnt like it at all. Maybe it’s the soy milk they used.

To some, this might seem like s typical hipster pop up shop, but there is nothing pretentious about what the guys are doing here. Good coffee, great lattes, and friendly staff make this an easy winner in the area.

Really enjoyed my coffee from New Row. I wouldn’t say I’ve had much luck with coffee shops in this part of London but I’ll definitely be heading back here whenever I’m in the area. The staff were friendly and I was given a loyalty card which only requires 6 stamps! I saw on the menu they sell cold brew and I may try it out next time I go. Be aware that the shop itself is very small, so it would probably be best to go drink your coffee in Covent Garden or Leicester Square(especially on a hot day).

We stopped in here for an afternoon coffee yesterday. It is a very cute little shop near Leister Square and Covent Garden. The coffee was very good. They had good looking baked goods too. There are only 2 tables, so quite small. I felt that the coffee was a bit overpriced, that’s the reason for 4 star. I would recommend still though.

Nice little place on a side street, so easy to miss. Regardless, worth seeking out, as its espresso is easily on par with its neighbors up on Monmouth street. I got an amazing cappuccino quickly with no fuss. Highly recommended.

Homemade almond milk !!! As someone who is lactose intolerant and isn’t a huge fan of soya milk, I’m so grateful to have found a place that actually carries almond milk. Get here early to try fresh almond milk made every morning. Wonderful coffee, awesome staff.

Accidentally came across this place while exploring London for the first time. They were open on New Year’s Day, which was great since a lot of places weren’t. The coffee was excellent, as well as the pastel de nata(growing up Portuguese I’ve had plenty of these; this one was excellent). Décor was pleasant, though seating is very limited as it’s a small place. The barista was very pleasant. It was also reasonably priced compared to the price of coffee I had been paying at other places. If I’m ever back in London, I’ll be sure to give this place another go.

Good coffee and lots of nice cake-y snacks. If you are a sweet tooth this may be a very dangerous place for you to visit. But do it anyway. They also do sandwiches. Not a huge amount of space to sit in but perfect for a takeaway coffee and there is some bench space to sit at. If you do get a window spot it’s one hell of a people watching spot. Staff are great and music is good. So if you need a caffeine hit in a very touristy area this is highly recommended. Also pretty standard London pricing for coffee i.e. hasn’t been inflated due to the location(2.50 for a flat white).

Bare bones. Miniscule. But damn, they pull an amazing shot! Gotta be one of my favourites in Central London. I sorta wish they’d make it more Roman coffee bar, where everyone stands at the counter. Why is that still not a thing in London?

Awesome coffee. I always get the drip coffee, changes daily and it’s always amazing. Not too much seating, but it’s a cosy little place tucked in the heart of covent garden.

Possibly the best coffee shop I have ever visited(sorry joes deli!) the friendliest staff and most beautiful indie woodwork inside. Cheaper and tastier than the stuff they grind out in batches at chain coffee stores. They also make their own almond milk(2 litres every morning, so it’s first come first served). I am going to add this to my favourite places in london!

Accidentally stumbled across this little gem of a coffee place on a Sunday afternoon. Was just walking around the city with my sister who was in town visiting and we ran out of time to have a proper Afternoon Tea before catching a show. Was desperate for a coffee and found this little café. Coffee was fabulous and the pastries were also delicious. Hoping to spend a little more time here next time and hopefully I’ll be able to grab a window seat to people watch.

Edit: Very disappointed. They have changed the coffee and increased the price. I have been going here for the past 3 years and it has changed a lot since the new owners bought it; for the worse. The almond milk is available 7 times out of 10, because they forget to make it. All the soul and coolness of the place is gone. The only reason why I was still going here is because it’s the closest independent shop to where I live and open early on weekends; After today’s coffee which tasted very basic and weak I will no longer purchase from here.(There is no longer an outside bench) My favourite place for coffee. Although I usually get my coffee to go, it’s nice to sit on the bench outside. The staff are always awesome and friendly. The option for soya or fresh almond milk is great as well as Monmouth don’t.

Being an ex-barista with 6.5 years of experience. I am always very hesitant to walk into English coffee shops. I was desperate for a shot of expresso and I decided to give this café a try. There were several people within this small shop and seemed to be a popular place. The barista who served me was very polite and friendly. Also he pulled the most delicious espresso shot I’ve had in London so far. I totally recommend this place and anticipate coming back for another double espresso soon.

Found this place on the Unilocal app and was drawn in by the high star rating without having the chance to carry out a more detailed check. I am therefore knocking off a couple of stars as it’s very important to note that this coffee shop is tiny — there are 2 tables! Perfectly nice latte but not sure about £3 biscuits.

Popped into New Row Coffee after figuring out that Monmouth Coffee in Covent Garden was closed. Not a bad option for a nice hot latte if you’re in the same predicament. Delicious/beautiful looking pastries by the till too!

In my travels throughout Europe, this place was easily the best coffee shop. I may be off in my gauge of good coffee, but I like third wave style coffee from the US, such as Blue Bottle, Intelligentsia, Stumptown, etc. New Row lived up to the style, served a great espresso, and knew how to properly steam milk. We had 2 days in London, and of course I went here 2 days. We randomly stumbled upon this place because I walked by and noticed a La Marzocco machine w/a Mazzer grinder. I knew they meant business and I’m glad I tried it!

Cool looking place with frothy good lattes. The barista takes his time crafting each beverage individually, so there may be a wait, but it’s worth the payoff. I also love that they only use raw sugar, e.g. the«good stuff». :)
