I regularly go here after Arsenal games if I get a chance. The service is quick friendly and accommodating.

My local Nando’s, I suppose there isn’t a ton of room for criticism. They dish up familiar food at the same price as the other shops around town. I am a lover of Nando’s so I can’t really complain about their delivery of my usual(chicken thighs with hot marinade, chips and salad). The last few times I have been here, it’s been rather under-staffed and, as a result, I have had to ask to restock cutlery/serviettes/sauces in the downstairs station where they are offered. Also all of the soda fountains downstairs were broken – I even had to go upstairs to get water. Mind you, if you’re just trying to grab a cheeky Nando’s before going drinking on Upper Street, you probably can’t go wrong. :D

Everyone knows Nandos! If you don’t(you must be new to London or a tourist) — it’s a popular grilled chicken chain. You can get roast chicken from any of the nearby grocery stores, but they won’t come with crispy skin or your choice of peri peri sauces! There is usually a line for the takeaway, but they accept orders online and over the phone.

Nando’s is definitely not going to change London’s restaurant scene, but it still is a decent place to grab food from when you’re in the mood for grilled chicken. If you’re not, you might want to check some place else though, as that’s more or less all they serve…

Service is horrible. You wait forever to get a table number even though the place is half empty. Then you have staff just standing around not taking your order and ignoring you. Which is rude! Food arrives late, butter has already melted and chicken is not hot anymore because nobody bothered to bring it over to the table. Why a place like Nandos even has queues? The food is half pre-cooked anyway. This is terrible place. There are a dozen better within a minutes walk. Olives are overpriced. Went again. Same story. They were late and gave my order to wrong table by which time it was too cold to eat.

Not really Portuguese food(I should know, being from Lisbon) but the quality is decent and good value for money. Try the livers, they’re really tasty!

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but I love Nandos. All of them that I have been to have yet to disappoint me. So I say, good job Islington Nandos, you share the same happiness that all the other Nandos give me… a full tummy and a burning smile :]

Nosh’n at Nandos I LOVE this place. I am addicted to the chicken. It is amazing. Their loyalty program is great. They even gave out coupons for a free ½ chicken because they had to close for slight remodeling and they wanted to thank customers for their patience. The service has always been efficient and friendly. I love the rice, chips and slaw too. I need to try the grilled corn which looks great. Nandos is great for dinner or quick lunch and is affordable and consistent in quality.

My mum is a huge fan of Nando’s in Angel. I had resisted for years but after finally trying it, I like it. Service is good but food takes a while to get ready. Food is very tasty for fast food chicken.

Nando’s reminds me of an upscale version of «El Pollo Loco» in the U.S. They both serve charbroiled chicken, and offer condiments and free refills on drinks to the side. The difference is what what they offer… Nando’s serve several sauces at different spiciness levels that you can pick up from the bar. Most of the flavor of sauces remind me of the sauces that Halal trucks use. They also have a soft freeze ice-cream machine as well. The sides they serve are Mediterranean/European, like olives and ratatouille. For around $ 25, you can feed a table of three(1 whole chicken, 1 side and fries). El Pollo Loco is different in that they serve salsas and pickled jalapenos, and the flavors are from Mexico. I personally think this place is better than Kentucky Fried Chicken, and it is definitely healthier.

Nando’s is okay. But its still a chain, and i’m not sure how fresh the food really is. Good in a pinch, or with a group of people that isn’t sure they like real food. Good alternative to fast food.

Okay, I get that Nando’s has Portuguese roots, but categorizing it as Portuguese food is pushing it a bit I think. Nando’s is a fancy Kentucky Fried Chicken chain basically. So yes, I agree with Viviane; even though Nando’s chicken is grilled, but maybe that’s me just splitting hairs, haha. I give this place 4 stars because the atmosphere was excellent. Fun, chill, casual, just the right balance of ambiance. Maybe it’s because I went with a kick ass group of people… Lucky for Nando’s ^_~ Being an American, any place where you get unlimited refills makes me happy. Haha. Seriously though, you can’t even do this at most McDonald’s. Honestly, I was a bit frustrated by the availability of their sauces. All of my friends were raving about how I should try them all, and it was an ordeal just to round up a few of the bottles. Needless to say I didn’t get to try all the flavours, but I’m super sensitive to spice and even the extra-mild flavour burned a bit. So there’s a warning to those with a low spice threshold. The 4 star rating was solidified when I was realized how easy Nando’s makes it to order over the phone and pick up. Supersuper convenient without any long lines or wait times. When we got back to the flat and were ready to pig out, the food tasted just as delicious as eating it fresh at the restaurant.

Luuuuurvvvve Nandos BUT… the service at this one kinda lacks. There are never any knives and forks. They take long to do the replen… My last visit i had to ask 4FRIKKIN times for a fork(i felt like being a gentlemen and eating properly) Regardless if you can use your hands they should always be available. I have also received the smallest portions yet at this branch and the service is meadiocre! I would give a thumbs up(at all times for nandos) Just not this branch Boooooooooo ****Free the chickens from this crappy branch let them be eaten in a better environment for god sake!****** Signed Gavin A

After a fancy dress house party, did not sleep that’s much, have a ¼ or ½ or even a whole chicken cooked is much appreciable! As I do not like spicy food I went for a Lemon&Herb which was perfect! You can also have medium or hot spicy with 3 or 4 other sauces on table ! The chicken is good quality. Chicken comes with a range of side: chips, rice, garlic bread, etc. as you prefer. You can have as many glass of sodas as you wish to. It is more like food served in a pub than real cooked restaurant. Huge space, 3 floors: 1 main room, 1 at the entrance and 1 small downstairs with only 2 table for 6. Loyalty Card offers a whole chicken for free after 10 visits ;) Keen on chicken, try it ;)

This place is by far the best if you want well cooked, delicious chicken when you are out and about in London. I stumbled in here with a few friends when I was studying/working in London, and I couldn’t get enough of it. Viviane has it close when she calls it the luxury version of KFC. Well, except for that is like saying that Lexus is the luxury version of a Yugo.

I love Nando’s but not this branch. We went to this branch on a monday night for dinner but was left unattended for 30 minutes. There was lack of staff and when the food was served — they were still raw. Rather disappointing. Would not go again.

I only ever eat one thing from the menu here, and don’t really have much of a desire to try anything else. But what I do order I like a lot, which is the quarter flame grilled chicken with a side of corn n the cob and spicy rice. The best part of this dining experience is being able to try all their sauces, especially the peri– peri ones. I take every sauce they have, and give myself a healthy dollop of each. A decent place to go for quick, easy food.

Sleeping in on a Sunday morning? Hangover? Very hungry? I have the perfect place for you. Nandos belongs to a restaurant chain. I was told recently Nandos is the luxury version of Kentucky Fried Chicken. As it is so popular, you normally have to wait a couple of minutes before getting placed. To order, you have to go to the bar. There is an extensive selection of different chicken choices. I normally go for the 10 chicken wings, sweet corn and fries. You can refill your drinks as many times as you want and to spice it up you can choose between a mild, medium and hot sauce(seriously very hot). This is the place of chicken heaven(except if you are vegetarian).

The first time I visited this store I was amazed by the quality of the food and service. The staff and the Manager are really friendly and make your visit even more enjoyable. Healthy delicious food for fairly reasonable price! Nandos Islington is my favorite restaurant in London and I recommend every one to visit and enjoy the experience.
