Music Exchange

I stumbled upon this shop and popped in. On the ground level, there are men’s and women’s vintage items… shoes, coats, trousers, shirts, and accessories, most of them too expensive for my income level. Woe is me. Will I never find any affordable vintage clothing in London? I was about to leave when I noticed a «Bargains upstairs» sign. That certainly brought a smile to my face!
There seemed to be only women’s items upstairs, and the prices were much better. Though not everything was vintage (a lot of Topshop in the mix), the items definitely had that timeless feel to them. I am especially excited about the 50s skirt I got for £10. Miraculously, I walked out with a total of 3 skirts for £30. Not bad.
FYI, on my receipt it says «Music Exchange» so that must be the name of the business, but on the storefront you’ll only notice the word «Retro» in huge white letters. Don’t miss it!
